Job Description

Job responsibilities:

  • Cultivate, support, and promote an organizational culture that provides for high performance, high morale, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Actively manage full-time and contract resources in alignment with program/project needs and priorities.
  • Lead the implementation of end-to-end automation suites.
  • Mentor and encourage growth for the team in alignment with both their career aspirations as well as the needs of Visa.
  • Partner with Development, DevOps, Support, Product and PMO to identify and deliver clear expectations and requirements
  • Oversee, mentor, and assist test engineers in all aspects of testing
  • Clearly communicate project/program status, risks, and impacts. Be accountable for managing QA deliverables.
  • Encourage and enable the team to deliver upon their personal development goals, as well as organizational goals set at all levels
  • Promote a standardization of processes and disciplined testing throughout the team in adherence with Visa’s Test Management Methodology
  • Engage in skill assessment and promote professional development of staff.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD).
• At least 3 years of management experience in a technology setting.
• Experience with API and UI automation frameworks.
• Hands-on exposure to BDD test automation approaches.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 7 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• 8-10 years of experience in a technical role within the Software Development Life Cycle
• 5+ years of hands-on manual and automation testing experience of front-end and back-end solutions.
• Strong technical competency building and executing automated tests in Java for both UI and API.
• Experience with common automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Serenity, or Cypress
• Strong understanding of various test and development methodologies such as TDD, BDD.
• Proficiency with web services and API testing and associated testing tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, ReadyAPI, and SOAPUI.
• Experience delivering complex projects on time with excellent quality while managing risks and opportunities.
• Strong leadership qualities, organizational skills as well as ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira or similar.
• Experience in infrastructure automation / Platform a as a Service (PaaS).
• Cloud certification with AWS or Azure is a plus.
