Corporate IT: CIT builds, operates and maintains the IT systems and infrastructure necessary to enable a highly connected and collaborative workforce that helps power Visa s business.

Within this organization, the Legal & Compliance Information Technology team supports full life-cycle delivery and ongoing support of strategic technology initiatives for the Legal & Compliance business units, and the global employee community.

Essential Functions:

• Design, develop and enhance web and database software applications using open source technologies to support Visa s Legal, Compliance and Privacy business operations
• Configure and implement packaged applications and develop integrations with other packaged applications or custom applications in our ecosystem
• Review business requirements and develop detailed system architecture, technical designs, pseudo code and data flow documentations
• Work with multiple engineering teams and collaborate to deliver secure, high performing and scalable solutions within expected timelines
• Participate in code reviews of peers, develop best practices
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasks/deliverables to maximize business impact/benefit
• Triage system/solution defects, perform root cause analysis and develop resolution plans in a timely manner
• Work with minimum daily guidance to complete assigned tasks successfully 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• 3 or more years experience in software development, application implementation and support
• Development experience using Python, PL-SQL, SQL, Shell, Javascript, HTML
• Experience in system integration with 3rd party APIs, data exchange and use of encryption technologies
• Knowledge of RESTful web services and frameworks such as Flask and/or Django
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, MySql, MS SQL and/or Postgres SQL
• Familiarity with database architecture and design Ability to develop data models
• Working knowledge of Hadoop and Unix
• Knowledge and experience in developing test strategy
• Familiarity with configuring CI/CD pipeline using industry standard tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Maven etc. Exposure to defining and implementing best practices in using them.
• Familiar with Angular web application framework

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
