Job description and responsibilities

  • Lead reporting and analytics strategy for learning at Visa
    • Design and develop reporting standards for measuring and demonstrating the business impact of Visa University’s programs and initiatives
    • Develop and maintain Visa University’s executive scorecards to track progress and KPI measurement
    • Extract meaningful insights to better understand, improve performance, resolve problems and implement change
    • Lead with a keen focus on continuous improvement, establishing development and quality standards for accurate business analytics and insights
    • Liaise with broader Visa People Analytics Team to explore synergies and leverage best practices
  • Own core reporting infrastructure and business processes
    • Lead the reporting and analytics core infrastructure — database architecture, analytics management, reporting front-end, data source auditing, validation and automation
    • Ensure data is fetched from multiple databases in Visa’s complex learning technology ecosystem, processed efficiently, synthesized, and presented in a unified way to provide consistent and meaningful reporting and insights 
    • Own database design and architecture at all levels to ensure performance and efficiency
    • Enable scalable reporting by designing well-defined interfaces, documenting taxonomy and access methods to enable self-serve reporting, in order to minimize interdependencies  
  • Become a trusted business partner and advisor
    • Understand and translate business context from L&D program owners and business planning managers into reporting requirements 
    • Act as a data analytics subject matter expert, providing actionable recommendations and guidance to stakeholders and extended teams
    • Quick prototyping to build consensus and ensure (reporting dashboards) are intuitive and adhere to standards while maintaining accuracy and data integrity
    • Reinforce a culture of data-driven decision making, with a focus on problem solving
    • Focus on questioning, examining, interpreting, comparing and confirming data
  • Client learning and revenue analytics
    • Establish client learning revenue dashboard for accurate and consistent client learning revenue-related reporting and analytics  
    • Own and enhance client reporting dashboards, providing key insights for Visa University’s client learning business, including but not limited to the revenue against targets, number of clients trained, learner satisfaction metrics, profitability/margins at global level and by regions, by key client segments, by program type, and payment models such as cash, incentives, subscriptions, bundles, etc.
    • Ensure accuracy and data integrity with the downstream systems feeding into the revenue reporting dashboards. Strive to find scalable robust solutions, review end-to-end workflow and collaborate with ecosystem partners to holistically address discrepancies

Work Location – Remote, anywhere in US

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

What you will need:
• Strong data analytical and visualization skills using reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Experience in leading analytics and reporting for corporate L&D
• Experience in leading analytics and reporting for the client facing P&L business

Basic qualifications
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 8 years of work experience with a Master's or advanced degree in an analytical field such as computer science, data science, statistics, finance, business and data analytics, or related field required.


Preferred qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, statistics, finance, business and data analytics, data science, or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Eight to 10+ years of relevant experience (with a concentration in data-centric initiatives), with demonstrated expertise in leveraging development best practice methodologies.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
