Job Description
What's it all about?
The role of the Product & Solutions Manager, will be under the Product & Solutions Organization in Visa, supporting the wider Southern Europe Team and specially the Buyers and Sellers and Strategic Initiatives teams in delivering the product strategy for Portugal and ensuring that Visa's proposition remains best in class. This role will be a unique combination of leadership, strategic vision, business development, technology architecture, hands-on support and client facing relationship management skills.
The successful candidate will have a deep working knowledge of payments and be a solution seller and technologist who can ideate with Visa clients to discuss priority Visa products, provide pre-sale advice and technical guidance on combining and integrating Visa products with clients’ value propositions. This role provides expert advice and thought leadership to external business leaders to help Visa grow existing client portfolio and win new business. This role will also use client feedback and experiences to decrease time-to-value for clients through automation, identify new products and services needed/wanted by the market, and enhance the usability of Visa’s broad product & solutions suite.
Candidates must have extensive experience with data-driven approach to understanding consumer needs, building consumer value propositions and new product constructs, product positioning, commercial and business case analysis, and program features, rules and implementation considerations. In addition, candidates must be fluent in digital and mobile payment trends and use cases. In addition, he/she must be highly collaborative, bring a structured approach to client engagement and documentation, employ moderation and facilitation skills, have a passion for payments, and have an ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
The role will require strong consultative client and partner engagement, active listening and relationship building skills to understand client strategy, priorities and needs. The role also requires strong cross-functional collaboration and teamwork, partnering closely with internal Visa teams to integrate client go-to-market. Based on the international travel restrictions due to Covid-19, the role may require regular traveling across the markets of coverage and limited traveling to Visa’s Europe headquarters in London.
What we expect you to do, day to day.
Engage with Issuers, Acquirers, Payment Gateways and Processors in Portugal/Southern Europe to secure adoption of Visa’s solutions with a focus on Core propositions and Strategic products
Support sales and technical integration processes, working with sales and business development teams to support key RfI/RFPs and convert priority clients to Visa product adoption
Create solutions designs to meet customer’s business and technology needs and assist clients with developing POCs and prototypes to help them understand the adoption of Visa products and services
Drive adoption of our Fintech Partner Connect Program solutions in Portugal, facilitating engagement and agreements between our Visa customers and Visa’s Fintech partners to enhance card experiences. Also working with our London Hub team, opportunistically identify and evaluate potential companies to be included in our European Partner Connect Program.
Essential criteria:
Relevant experience at a large European bank, leading financial institution or global payment company, and/or management consulting experience in financial services and payments
Proven experience in the delivery and launch of new services and products across numerous markets
Comfort in regular budget and performance tracking against business KPIs
Driven, resilient and positive under pressure
Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal
Quick learner and flexible
Constructive, action and solution-oriented
Fluent in written and spoken English and Portuguese
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or commensurate work experience is required.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
