Job Description

What’s it all about?

Visa is building out its suite of open banking-related services to support clients in the ecosystem offer more seamless financial experiences and more control over their financial data. Open banking is critical to accelerating Visa’s network-of-networks strategy, enabling interoperable services across the globe.

 As part of Visa’s strategic initiatives in this space, we are building out a data-sharing platform in collaboration with the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and his team. Key scope for this role will be bringing the product strategy for Visa services related to data sharing and customer consent capture & management, a crucial component of open banking-initiated data and money flows, to live, by leading parts of the platform build from the Product side.

This role will have product-, technology-, and regulation-related workstreams. We are looking for a well-rounded product leader that has experience in the Open Banking space.

Specifically, you will focus on...

  • Development of Visa’s Consent and Data-sharing platform with an allocated Tech team, and continuing build-out out of value-added services to drive future revenue. Designing products for optimal customer and client experience, while also navigating the nuances of evolving regulatory changes in the consumer data & open banking space. What we expect of you, day to day.
  • Day-to-day management of the data-sharing and consent platform build and roadmap / feature backlog. Oversight over releases, and ensuring optimal service design and prioritization of features.
  • Working closely cross-functionally with Technology and Architecture Design
  • Be the primary Product Contact for sprint planning, feature grooming, etc. for your workstreams for the Engineering teams and QA
  • Ensure product end-to-end experience is a seamless as possible, and client adoption of the product is as easy as possible. Optimize for customer trust and customer control as key metrics to success in this space.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Day-to-day management of the data-sharing and consent platform build and roadmap / feature backlog. Oversight over releases and ensuring optimal service design and prioritization of features.
  • Working closely cross-functionally with Technology and Architecture Design
  • Be the primary Product Contact for sprint planning, feature grooming, etc. for your workstreams for the Engineering teams and QA
  • Ensure product end-to-end experience is a seamless as possible, and client adoption of the product is as easy as possible. Optimize for customer trust and customer control as key metrics to success in this space.
  • Manage product launches through to execution, including client implementations and testing. Work with Client Services, support the program in getting to general availability and broader scale.
  • Support sales enablement activity with the Commercialization lead.
  • Support internal processes such as PIA and NBIA for your workstreams
  • Become a subject-matter expert that is able to socialize Visa’s data sharing and consent strategy to leadership as well as externally. Report out on progress, and escalate challenges as needed. Support client engagements for market feedback and position Visa as a thought leader in the space. Be an open banking champion within the org.

Flex Work Arrangement - Hybrid Position - Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Mid-level work experience with demonstrated experience in product management, Open Banking, product strategy.
  • Has closely worked with a Tech/Engineering teams. Has a proven understanding of how products are developed and agile methodologies.
  • Product vision - able to develop and drive a product vision that takes into consideration Visa’s business model as well as the broader competitive environment
  • Natural collaborator with ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams to drive deliverables, projects, and engagements to completion
  • Willingness to act decisively and drive work streams forward in a dynamic, fast-paced, and constantly evolving working environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to break down complex work into concise, straightforward ideas, easily digestible for a range of senior leaders and internal/external stakeholders
  • Proven track record of helping to drive teams to achieve and exceed established goals
