The Strategy and Operations team is responsible for driving the strategy and day-to-day operations of the Europe Products and Solutions team. The team works closely with the Head of Europe Products and Solutions and their leadership team to drive regional product development and sales growth with clients across Europe. This includes formulating overall strategy, driving executive engagement and presentation materials, setting and monitoring key performance indicators and delivery of management information tools, supporting quarterly business reviews, and leading key initiatives as well as the annual planning process. This role requires working in close partnership with colleagues across the Product organisation and the broader Visa business including global and regional teams, MS&A, Finance, Visa Consulting & Advisory, Pricing, Corporate Strategy.

The position reports to the Head of Strategy and Operations, Europe Products and Solutions, and is based in London. As Visa expands its focus on Value-Added Services, this role will be key in ensuring that the function is rightly enabled to deliver on its priorities and targets.

What we expect of you, day to day

  • Own the processes and updates for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs, QBRs), monthly OKR reporting, and drive strategic planning, annual budget, and scorecard setting activities
  • Creation of dashboards and production of monthly reporting packs for European and Global execs with actionable insights and updates on performance
  • Support core business operations functions for the Product organization, including team engagement, knowledge sharing, Finance and HR-related activities
  • Identify and help drive process improvements for the Product organization
  • Facilitate meetings with key partners to break down siloes – increase communications, transparency of work and foster more efficient collaboration.  Right the operating model when friction points arise
  • Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced team including responding to executive or other stakeholder requests in a timely manner
  • Work on critical projects on a short-term basis as needed. Act as project manager, independently managing timelines, co-ordinating with internal stakeholders, providing executive updates
  • Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to develop rigorous and fact-based recommendations to senior management

Qualifications

  • Experience in business analysis, program management, business operations or sales operations in financial services, consulting, or similar fields
  • Problem solving – uses creativity and resourcefulness to overcome unexpected roadblocks
  • Highly organised and able to anticipate needs and next steps. Self-starter, proactive and action-oriented
  • Willingness and ability to get hands-on with other teams, within and outside Product
  • Strong communicator – able to adapt communication strategies to the needs of their audience, including senior leaders for business updates
  • Curious with strong commercial acumen seeks to learn about our products and understand the commercial drivers of Visa’s business
  • Ability to prioritise deliverables and projects to meet timelines efficiently, to adapt to changes in priorities quickly, and to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with focus on a drive to completion and tangible impact, often in an ambiguous environment
  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible with ability to form strong working relationships across levels and functions and ability to influence in a highly matrixed organisation
  • High competency in Excel and proficiency in creating compelling executive presentations required
  • Experience in and/or exposure to the payments industry preferred
