Job Description

Economies around the globe are moving towards Real Time Payments (RTP), bringing substantial innovation and modernization to payments, alongside open banking and crypto.

There is an increasing demand for the provision of real-time payment services across every region of the world, adding trillions of dollars in payments volume globally on an annual basis. To drive successful adoption, RTP infrastructures are supported by value added services across the entire payments value chain and all use cases – this is where Visa comes in.

You will join the RTP Risk Analytics product team, who design and build state of the art advanced AI products to help Financial Institutions detect and prevent fraud & scams in real-time payments.

The RTP Risk Analytics offering marks a key strategic growth pillar for Visa globally as part of our strategy to address rising market demand to support new and emerging payment flows.

The RTP Risk Analytics product team functions as an incubated start-up, taking ideas through the entire product lifespan from concept to market, all while leveraging Visa’s global infrastructure, technology and experience as a leader in global payments.

The RTP Risk Analytics Business and Data Operations Manager will take a lead role in the delivery of the next generation analytic products. You will be working alongside Product to shape and co-ordinate each stage of the product lifecycle, from early ideation, the delivery of Proof-of-Concepts (POC) with prospective clients, through to implementation of live operations and support globally.

As well as supporting the delivery of product features and services, the Business and Data Operations Manager will take a pivotal role in ensuring our products and processes align to Visa global data, risk and compliance standards, building and maintaining relationships with key business teams across the organization.

What you’ll do

  • Manage and continuously maintain the RTP Risk Analytics Operating Model
    • Create and maintain process flows, documentation, and supporting material to ensure the efficient operations of the team, and product governance processes
    • Ensure alignment and agreement for cross-team processes and touch-points
    • Support the day-to-day management of the operating model
  • Lead the product governance
    • Co-ordinate and support all legal, risk and compliance reviews of product features, services and client contracts
    • Manage the end-to-end product governance process to ensure products are fit for purpose and all data usage is aligned with Visa’s global standards and individual client contracts
    • Work with technology and cybersecurity teams to ensure best practices are applied to product features and initiatives
  • Support the delivery of product Proof-of-Concepts (POC) and R&D initiatives
    • Manage the technical and operational implementation of client POCs, and cross-functional product R&D initiatives
    • Ensure data security and data privacy is maintained at all stages of delivery
    • Co-ordinate and manage the investigations and re-use of existing Visa services across multiple teams
  • Support the day-to-day product team operations
    • Co-ordinate and maintain key product documentation, document libraries, and knowledge repository
    • Co-ordinate and manage RTP Risk Analytics client-facing documentation, such as RFPs, response documents and product collateral
    • Co-ordinate and support the management of other product operations collateral such as roadmaps, opportunity pipeline, and business cases.
  • Play an instrumental role in the RTP Risk Analytics team, actively participating in the overall strategy design, execution and operation of RTP Risk Analytics.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong Project Management, or 5+ years experienced Project co-ordination, skills.
    • Certification from PMI, APM or equivalent would be desirable
    • Demonstrable experience in coordinating multiple workstreams and multiple teams across time zones, to ensure deadlines are met.
  • 5+ yrs experience of working in a regulated industry, preferably within financial services, with hands-on experience in projects/products involving data privacy and data protection regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR).
  • Practical experience of working with business operations, corporate risk and compliance functions to support product/project objectives would be preferred
  • Strong (5+ years) business analyst skillset with a passion to quickly understand problems and work with internal and external teams to agree pragmatic solutions.
    • Experience at analyzing and documenting new and existing cross-functional business processes
    • Practical experience in developing and ongoing-management of operating models.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience of producing and managing a wide variety of outputs for internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • A broad understanding of modern technical concepts such as artificial intelligence, APIs, cloud computing and encryption. Although this is not a technical role, having an interest in contemporary technology tools would be advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work across levels, regions, cultures, and languages, and engage successfully with both technical and business partners.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
