What's it all about?

As the digital transformation of commerce and payments continues, digital identity solutions are critical to establish trust in digital transactions while reducing friction and improving the customer experience. Digital Identity (DI) is also a priority for many governments to drive growth, efficient public services, and financial inclusion. Hence DI represents a significant opportunity for Visa to build on its existing position of trust and relationships as a global network to expand and complement its service offering.

 

This role will focus on defining and executing the product vision and strategy for Visa Identity services in Europe.

 

The Senior Manager Digital Identity Solutions Europe brings good understanding of and experience in the Digital Identity space and a proven ability to execute a product strategy as well as experience from a matrix organization. Experience from acquisitions and integrations desired.

 

The Senior Manager Digital Identity Solutions Europe will report to and work closely with the Head of Digital Identity Europe to build Visa´s position in the Digital Identity space.

 

The Digital Identity team in Europe will collaborate with Global Digital Identity product team, Technology, Standards, Government Engagement, and Visa product teams to make decisions on how the solutions will interact at commercial level (how do we generate revenues, how do we distribute), interaction level (how do we federate across schemes/geographies) and technical level.

What We Expect Of You, Day To Day.

 

Product strategy and solutions

  • Contribute to the development of the product strategy and solutions for Visa digital identity services tailored to the European market – in collaboration with other teams (innovation, regulatory, global product teams) – including leading activities such as market research, commercial strategy and business models, and go-to-market
  • Lead engagements with clients and partners to test, learn and refine product and solution ideas
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Identity product team to define solutions and products to satisfy regional needs in Europe including regulatory compliance

 

Commercialisation

  • Contribute to shaping and developing the overall go-to-market strategy for Visa’s digital identity solutions in Europe – including commercial strategy, pricing, integration with other Visa solutions, channels to market, and target customers
  • Work closely with the Sales and Customer Service teams to operationalise the go-to-market strategy and digital identity product life cycle
  • Support and lead local teams across Europe to include digital identity capabilities in our own services and directly to customers

 

Partnership

  • Map and monitor key digital identity players in Europe
  • Lead engagements with key partners to develop joint products or go-to-market activities
  • Contribute to the engagement with external identity standards organisation and working groups

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of digital identity and authentication services, and experience from a digital identity service provider in Europe
• Bachelor or Master in Technology and/or Commercial topic (MBA highly desirable)
• 7+ years commercial experience with at least 3 years in top-tier strategy/innovation consulting or product development/solution design in technology, ecommerce, SAAS or financial services, having developed digital strategies, and taken new products to market
• Product management experience - including commercial strategy, regulatory compliance, go-to-market, and partnerships
• Willingness and ability to influence and guide multiple stakeholders without direct authority
• Curious and inquisitive problem solver – thrives in difficult and big problem spaces
• Rigorous thinker, ability to transpose business, financial and technical understanding to relevant market inputs with sales and product teams as well as with external partner discussions – leading to commercial & revenue opportunities
• Can do' attitude, solution-oriented, structured, focused on execution and 'getting things done'
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably one more major European language (e.g., German, French or Spanish)
