Job Description

Essential Functions

As a key member of Merchant Sales and Acquiring (MS&A) team, this candidate will play a critical role in the Business Planning and operations for the global MS&A organization supporting the implementation of strategic programs, long term data/analytics, planning and budgeting and ensuring that the sales organization is effective in providing value to the clients and promoting adoption of Visa products and solutions.

  • Influence Visa’s long-term strategy and solving enterprise-level questions and challenges with data and analytics, competitive intelligence, and financial modelling, often partnering with executives & leaders across Visa’s organization.
  • Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues. Work closely with cross-functional and regional management teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support.
  • Create presentations for internal approvals and external client facing partnership specific discussions. Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise, and impactful way.

The ideal candidate will work with moderate guidance in a fast paced, ambiguous work environment, and will have the ability to independently translate high level guidance into detailed deliverables. They will demonstrate good interpersonal skills and executive presence. The candidate is responsible for, but not limited to:

Data Analytics and Reporting

  • Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis utilizing multiple data sources ensuring financial soundness / strategic alignment of recommendations.
  • Analyze data and package for internal / client usage, creating an executable action plan tailored to our specific needs
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc executive reporting (e.g. Monthly Business Reviews, CEO Day, All Hands, client feedback/concerns)

Strategic Projects

  • Work closely with functional, regional, and global management teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support
  • Help solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to support development of recommendations on a wide range of business challenges
  • Collaborate with team members in the preparation and delivery of materials, reports and analysis for internal and client facing presentations.

Flex Work Arrangement - Hybrid Position - This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
- 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
- Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring the highest level of quality/rigor in reports and data analysis
- Process / solutions-oriented project manager with an ability to progress multiple priorities
concurrently
- Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with an ability to learn quickly in scenarios that are not well defined or structured
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint required

Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- 2 to 4+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy or FP&A
- Knowledge of payments, Visa products / services and experience interacting with merchants, acquirers and processors is a plus
- Experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R, Java etc.) and visualization /reporting tools (e.g. Playbook, Tableau etc.)
