Job Description
Visa Direct is an exciting, new payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts in the U. S. and around the world using push payment technology, i. e. Original Credit Transaction (OCT). Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e. g. payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursement (e. g. insurance claim disbursements), and more. The push payments market in North America is estimated to be more than $10 Trillions of payment volume, replacing cash, checks, and ACH with push credits directly into bank accounts in real-time.
Visa Direct NA Commercialization team plays a critical role in growing the Visa Direct business through expanding the Visa Direct use cases and deploying scalable solutions. The team is responsible for go to market strategy and commercialization of Visa Direct across existing and new use cases and verticals.
The NAVD Senior Manager - Product Commercialization will be a key team member of the NAVD team responsible for commercialization of all consumer funded use-cases responsible for leading and igniting the overall segment in US and Canada for A2A/P2P consumer funded use cases across various industry verticals including banks, brokerages, community banks and FinTechs.
You will work closely with various teams across Visa to successfully develop solutions and partnerships to scale our business. As one of the most diverse roles at Visa, you will excel at handling ambiguity and uncertainty. The ideal candidate should know what it is like to start something from scratch, grow it structurally and methodically. The team is in need of a leader who have been directly involved in scaling a product or business from inception we are at the tip of the iceberg and need to push hard to capture opportunity in front of us in full.
- Responsibilities include:
- Assume use case ownership and work with teams across Visa to identify new and grow existing consumer funded use-cases including, A2A – Banks and Brokerages, Me2Me and wallets; develop go-to-market strategy and pricing to tackle them and win deals
- Partner with the Global Visa Direct to develop a value proposition, operational business model and go-to-market approach for U. S. based cross-border remittance companies
- Develop and execute optimization strategies informed by data analysis to grow existing consumer funded programs in collaboration with pricing, marketing, product, operations, and sales teams.
- Lead client engagements from product solutioning perspective and provide SME support to the sales teams in client discussions
- Review and revamp all aspects of the Account Funding Transaction (AFT) product including strategic direction, rules and compliance, pricing and distribution strategy
- Work with Marketing, Innovation and Communications teams to produce use case playbooks, including optimized messaging/positioning, sales materials and tools, UX best practices, and solution guides with targeted marketing and communication plans to increase awareness, adoption and preference for Visa Direct across target segments
- Develop deep expertise in the Visa Direct Technology Stack, Visa’s Digital Assets and Capabilities, and our Processing and Acquiring partner ecosystem
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 8 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD)
Preferred Qualifications
- 9 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- 5+ years of payments industry experience with good exposure to payment processing, payment services product management, business operations, or consulting
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) with the ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to a broad audience in an approachable way
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on clients
- Good understanding of money movement space, key players (card based and non-card based), competition and market trends
- Strong project management and organization with the ability to independently lead and manage complex projects with multiple work streams and cross-functional stakeholders
- Fast learner and critical thinker, ability to interpret rules and policies and clearly articulate applicability to programs
- Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results
- Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
