Visa University is changing the learning culture at Visa. We are a CEO supported start-up team within a large, global organization. The Internal Learning Consultant will be responsible for understanding business priorities and consulting with regional stakeholders, as well as VU College teams, to develop and deploy learning solutions that measurably grow talent capabilities. They will work collaboratively across Visa University to effectively deploy global learning solutions and scale regional solutions as needed. This role will report into the Regional Head of Learning – North America Region. Location preference is in either Foster City, CA or Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted partnerships and manage relationships with regional leadership team, function leaders, and HRBPs to understand learning goals and needs, gain buy in to proposed initiatives and drive impact
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on VU’s programs and learning solutions that have already been developed for global implementation and scale into region
- Provide Change Management & Consulting support to NA regional partners in support of regional learning initiatives
- Leverage data to assess overall program impact and ROI. Provide quarterly reporting around project initiatives to stakeholders
- Develop and scale up regionally developed learning solutions and identify and manage local strategic external vendors and partners to support these programs
- Consult and Collaborate with business stakeholders and VU Shared Services to develop and deliver regional training needs assessments, analyze organizational challenges, and work with the VU Colleges to create programs that meet current and future skills and development needs
- Deploy and implement new learning strategies and programs that meet business and organizational needs
- Support with projects related to annual planning, creating program calendars, and building strategic models for delivery.
- Manage regional VU Faculty program in partnership with the Delivery Excellence team
- Manage and monitors regional on-boarding process for new employees in market
- Drive regional marketing and communication campaigns to create awareness towards VU services and offerings to drive open programs enrollments.
- Model a One VU Mindset and the Visa Leadership Principles in action
- Partner with NA VU delivery team to support the deployment of (as needed) regional/global learning programs
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with leveraging Workplace Personality Assessments; certification in DISC, Insights, or Myers Briggs a plus
• Strong aptitude for working with broad scope of technical, business, and professional subject matter; quick and agile learner
• Digital payments background preferred
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate, consult and influence senior leaders, business partners, internal and external customers, and colleagues to drive business results
• Strong communication (written and verbal), consulting, stakeholder management, relationship management and influencing skills at all levels in an organization; advanced skills creating PowerPoint presentations
• Effective track record of using metrics and analytics to drive decision making and increased value generation (sales, satisfaction surveys, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and change to improve efficiencies and the effectiveness of learning solutions.
• Experience in Training Needs Analysis (TNA), diagnostics, supporting L&D solutions, and evaluation of L&D projects
• Great collaboration skills, able to engage a wide variety of people in solution design and delivery across various geographies
• Well-read and able to offer a perspective on leadership, diversity and inclusion, well-being, and other key organizational topics
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Learning and Development, Instructional Design preferred or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• 10+ years’ experience in consulting in either the Learning, HR, or Org Development disciplines
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
