Job Description
The Network Product team focuses on compelling value-added capabilities to deliver on top of transaction processing for clients, including fintechs and neoprocessors around the globe. The team develops products that address consumer and client needs in an increasingly digitized and cloud-native environment, such as APIs that allow consumers to manage recurring payments in their mobile apps, solutions that allow transactions to be approved when banks are unavailable to respond and new ways to ensure that the expected individual is transacting. Our products have a global footprint, providing the opportunity to serve and learn about a wide range of geographies with varying payments maturity.
Visa's Network Product team is looking for a highly motivated Processing API Product Manager. The Processing API Product Manager’s primary responsibility is to build products and solutions that deliver a substantial value propositions across the entire payments ecosystem i.e., merchants, consumers, issuers, acquirers and technology partners. In this role, the Product Manager will work closely with clients, partners, engineering, architects, and global cross-functional counterparts to build, iterate and refine new and existing value-added payment solutions across all channels. You will define the product roadmap and commercialization strategy, including market prioritization and pricing strategy. You will collaborate closely with Technology on a regular basis to drive implementation and enhancements. You will develop marketing collateral and lead client engagements to drive adoption of products. You will ideate new product concepts and drive the roadmap of next-gen value-added services for our clients. You will bring prior experience in hands-on development of solutions, and a close knowledge of developments in consumer and payment related technology.
The role will be anchored in Foster City, but may require occasional domestic/international travel to work collaboratively with in-market teams should conditions allow.
- Essential Functions
- End-to-end product manager responsibilities for one or more assigned products, such as payments processing APIs, consumer verification solutions, account information APIs and new payment data exchange capabilities. This includes all aspects from product ideation, business case development, requirements definition, implementation management, sales planning, product pricing, product collateral creation, internal training, client sales engagement and product analytics/KPIs. The role delivers products that provide our clients with seamless onboarding and lightweight interfaces that are easy and quick to integrate to.
- Develop and implement product roadmaps consistent with client needs and company vision
- Ensure product vision and requirements are designed with scalability and long-term vision in mind
- Work closely with internal and external product and partner teams to ensure alignment on goals/scope, plan critical path and operational risks, and ensure transparent communication
- Drive coordination with other business units, product teams, engineering and other applicable groups to ensure flawless execution
Travel Requirements
This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 10% of the time for domestic/international travel to work collaboratively with in-market teams should conditions allow.
Qualifications
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work
experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience
with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant
experience with a PhD 3+ years' experience with product development methodology preferred
- Strong product development skills with a sound understanding of payment technology, APIs, risk
and fraud management, other ecosystem requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency in areas with limited experience
- Aptitude to collaborate with engineering teams to build robust, reliable and scalable payment
solutions
- Ability to think creatively to solve problems
- Experience and knowledge of Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices
- Comfortable with modern technology and development practices including RESTful API, JSON,
HTTPS

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
