Job Description

The Financial Analyst, Revenue Operations, will be responsible for all aspects of the clients billing and accounting activities, ensuring adherence to timeliness, accuracy of inputs/outputs relating to member billing activities, in particular Value-Added Services (VAS).  This hands-on role requires strong accounting as well as business acumen with the desire and ability to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and performance of the function. This position requires the ability to learn quickly, work independently, and tackle problems expertly in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial but collaborative environment. The Financial Analyst will also receive, process, and respond to requests from internal and external clients, all of which will require the ability to learn and navigate through multiple Visa systems and the ability to learn and follow published policies.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze pricing contracts (VAS in particular) and create or update pricing plans of Visa’s products and services in the billing system, assess appropriate billing and accounting implications.
  • Create invoice accounts or customer setups (including invoice presentment and settlement instructions).
  • Responsible for handling billing inquiries, resolve billing disputes, prepare reports and analysis, and reconcile client invoicing/ billing.
  • Establish and maintains relationships across a broad base of stakeholders and serves as a key point of contact for Billing/Revenue Ops issues.
  • Participate in process improvements and system enhancement activities. Adapt processes and practices to promote efficiency and to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with business partners and IT to define comprehensive requirements to drive billing system solutions. Execute User Acceptance Testing process and validation of system changes.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the local statutory laws
  • Support the wider Billing Ops team as needed
  • Support special projects and ad-hoc queries/analysis as needed

Qualifications

• 4 or more years of relevant revenue operations and system experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
• Advanced skills in MS Excel. Extensive data mining experience using OLAP tools is preferred
• Must be comfortable working with a heavy volume of data; knowledge of Excel Power Pivots, VBA or SQL is vital
• Prior experience with MicroStrategy reporting tool and Oracle Financials is a plus
• Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) tool (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos) to create dashboards and BI reports is a plus
• Critical thinking skills are required, as some of the tasks require applying policy guidelines and extending to new business processes or system requirements.
• Requires sound working knowledge of revenue operations and systems. Utilize technology to solve problems.
• Creative problem-solving skills: collaboratively contribute new ideas and solutions to address business challenges
• Analyze large amounts of data and present conclusions and observations to management
• Attention to detail and keen sense for accuracy are extremely critical
• Strong business analysis/problem solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills (in both English and Russian), and upbeat customer-service attitude.
• Organizational and project-management skills: plan, organize, and adapt within a multi-tasking environment
• Meet deadlines within a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment
• Payment-industry experience is a plus
