Organization Summary
The Technology Planning and Business Operations organization provides key business strategic direction and integration across the Technology organization. This includes driving investment planning & budgeting, portfolio management (projects, initiatives, etc.), workforce planning activities, critical initiative program management, and communications activities. The team is passionate about improving efficiencies, visibility, consistency and collaboration within the Technology organization and other key cross-functional collaborators.
Essential Functions
The Business Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting Technology portfolio management activities, including handling program investment process as well as generating reports/dashboards with standard cadence and all required data analysis. This position interacts with many cross-functional collaborators, including various Technology teams, Finance, and many business functional leads. This position will report to the Senior Director and will interact with senior leadership. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure high-quality review of program investment documents for executive funding approvals to enable accuracy and drive effective decision-making
- Process day-to-day requests from collaborators including program funding changes and address any related inquires, with a continuous improvement attitude to streamline processes
- Complete system/tool updates to ensure data integrity and alignment with program / project changes
- Frequent review of documentations (i.e. project charter / agile execution planning documents, etc.) to confirm alignment with project / agile management methodologies and address related daily inquiries from collaborators
- Support recurring delivery of various reports, dashboards and analysis to uphold governance of the project / agile management methodologies, including crafting summaries and overviews of investments, and reviewing red/yellow/green status commentary from collaborators to ensure content quality for executive-level reporting
Extract, combine and transform raw data from various source systems to present relevant insights for management decisions.
Basic Qualifications
- 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
- Proficient with one or more reporting systems such as SQL, Excel, MS Access and Analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc. to develop dashboards from multiple source systems such as Jira Align, Clarity, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Experience in the Payments and/or Technology industry, with familiarity in product development methodology (Waterfall or Agile)
- Validated experience in an operational role (with recurring tasks cadence - daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually), with a focus on governance / compliance
- 2+ years of experience in business analytics, executive reporting, and data visualization with insightful commentary.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with an attention to detail.
- Demonstrate ability to optimally communicate technical / business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently with strong time management with sense of urgency and ability to complete multiple concurrent deliverables
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
