Job Description

The Risk and Identity Products team at Visa focuses on delivering the fraud detection and prevention solutions that enable every good transaction to be approved, every bad transaction to be declined, all with a seamless customer experience. Payment Authentication is a critical component of this vision, helping secure eCommerce transactions. The payment authentication products team is responsible for driving the development, implementation, and adoption of authentication solutions globally.

 

The Director, Product Management will be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Visa’s payment authentication solutions. He/she will be part of the global team and will work with stakeholders across various geographical regions and Visa product teams to define business requirements, prioritize features, and collaborate with the product technology team to deliver solutions. The role also includes working with regional and cross-functional teams on program performance, pricing, policies, market and internal readiness, implementation support, marketing, communications, and legal and regulatory matters. The Director will provide subject matter expertise for internal, client, and partner sales efforts. Additional responsibilities include developing the business case and revenue forecasts for your product, as well as a go-to-market/commercialization strategy for the product, including strategy for geographical expansion. As a team leader, you will coach/mentor junior members of the team and help to build the next generation of product talent.

 

Essential Functions

·       Provide out of the box, strategic thought leadership on our payment authentication strategy and execution

·       Evolve payment authentication-based products and solutions that promote security, increase sales, and provide a seamless user experience

·       Develop and build products and solutions that use the latest agile development practices and promote speed to market

·       Build and lead a team of talented product managers who combine strategic vision, technical competence, and excellent cross functional leadership skills

 

Responsibilities

·       Be a leader, an integral part of a team of high performing product managers

·       Create a comprehensive payment authentication product strategy, define business requirements, and execute on a global product roadmap throughout the product lifecycle process from ideation to launch

·       Develop innovative products and services based on deep customer insights and a strong understanding of the future of global digital payments

·       Balance technical and business acumen, and communicate solution feasibility that drive the biggest impact on the business and value to the customers

·       Understand evolving needs and challenges of clients including issuers, acquirers, merchants, solution providers, and ensure products are tailored to meet those needs

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with regional product, customer support, sales, and technical teams

·       Keep abreast of industry trends and the competitive landscape

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

·       12 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree; 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in analytical or technology field such as computer science, computer engineering, economics, or similar area of study (graduate degree is a plus)

·       Deep background in payment authentication, digital payments, and eCommerce, knowledge of EMV® 3-D Secure messaging protocol a plus

·       Adept across product strategy, operations, product management, and program management

·       Experience with all aspects of product development life cycle, including planning, product management, and development

·       Experience with Agile development methodologies

·       Experience with global deployment of new solutions, with a proven record of scaling products

·       Experience running an operation and being accountable for customer facing outcomes

·       A love of fact-based decision making, passion for customer centric design and continuous improvements, insatiable curiosity, and excellent problem-solving skills

·       Proven ability to partner, communicate, and manage/navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups; both as an evangelist and through others

·       Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible
