Job Description

Department Summary

The Global ATM team leads all aspects of the Visa ATM Business, which includes creating market strategies in all regions, conducting complex analysis, and creating new opportunities focused on long term revenue growth and increasing market share.  Global ATM oversees the suite of ATM products/features, cardholder tools and APIs, and business opportunities contributing a combined annual revenue of ~$1.3B to Visa Inc.  The team has direct responsibility for US revenue growth, XB transaction growth and global product development, working closely with global and regional partners and external industry leaders and associations.

The ATM channel serves as an important banking channel for Visa clients and continues to expand beyond its traditional role as primarily a cash dispensing service and into an everyday banking center with expanded features like cash in deposits, multi account selection for transfers and bill payments ultimately digitizing cash.

Essential Functions

The ATM NA Director will support business development opportunities by working with Account Executives and clients. The position is based in Foster City, California and will report to the Senior Director responsible for ATMs in North America.  Responsibilities include the following:

ATM Product Strategy & Initiatives by developing ATM solutions that will help us compete and win client deals and grow network participation and adoption of our enhanced ATM functionality services

  • Create 5-year strategies for ATM products such as:  Plus Partnerships, Plus Alliance, Deposits, PIN change, Contactless, ATM locator
  • Drive innovative solutions and products to increase ATM transactions onto Visa network from closed looped and on-us transactions
  • Create product roadmaps leading to strategic implementation, including business case development
  • Create process for ongoing product prioritization and rationalization
  • Create internal and client facing communications, training materials, marketing collateral, and presentations to support all NA ATM products
  • Partner internally with technology, sales and marketing stakeholders to deliver, market and sell our NA ATM product
  • Work with cross functional organizations across Visa to establish best practices and identify opportunities to improve process flows.

North America Business Development / Revenue Generation Initiatives:  Implement and execute against our NA strategic plan to compete and win more ATM transactions in the marketplace.  Specifically, this position will be responsible for:

  • Growing usage and adoption of our PLUS Partnerships, our Surcharge Free ATM network (Plus Alliance), our Deposit network, PIN Change and Contactless acceptance solutions
  • Partnering and leading client facing sales teams to conduct account reviews with key clients (both Issuers / Acquirers) and offer sales and client support on all ATM related initiatives including building providing pro-formas / deal models for FI’s in rationalizing their retail banking footprint and provide key ATM usage, trends and behaviors and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Create and sell ATM value proposition to clients (including Visa Net benefits such as Risk tools, ATM Locator services, Acceptance)
  • Support creation of new client facing marketing, communication and training materials that will encourage issuers and acquirers to choose Visa as a partner when addressing Brand opportunities.
  • Actively manage the sales pipeline for NA ATM opportunities and products
  • Monitor, track and measure business impacts of new ATM initiatives and key deals

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• 8 to 10 years’ payments experience preferred, ATM industry experience required
• Strong product development skills, including product research, cu
• Strong business development skills, proactive, persistent and ability to drive results
• Strategic thinker, excellent management skills, superior analytical skills with the ability to assess an opportunity's potential, leveraging fact-based analysis and industry experience
• Ability to handle complex projects with multiple work streams and proven leadership over a wide variety of stakeholders at junior through executive levels
• Strong management, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills required
• 2 years’ agile methodology experience as product owner
• Customer journey mapping experience
• Experience with Visio or similar process flow software
• Jira or similar experience for creating epics and user stories
• Strong customer-oriented mindset to support business operations, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral, written and presentation skills
• Advocate for the customer and demonstrate customer empathy
• Enjoys an environment of innovation, investigation, fact-finding and validation

This position is open to locations in Atlanta, GA, and the Bay Area.
