Job Description
- Supporting the development, maintenance, and implementation of Visa’s Enterprise Risk Foundation, including Policy, Risk Appetite Framework, Enterprise Risk Management Framework and bespoke Risk Management Frameworks
- Performing assessments of Visa’s Enterprise Risk Management capability through self-assessments that are kept up to date with industry best practices and regulatory expectations
- Leading Visa’s quarterly risk profile reporting cycle in tight coordination with Risk Leadership to assess changes to risk profile for presentation to Executive Management and Board of Directors.
- Leading Visa’s top risk processes in tight coordination with Risk Leadership team to continually assess changes to risk profile as a result of the internal and external environment.
- Supporting overall Corporate Risk Strategic Initiatives to drive Visa’s risk management maturity across 2nd Line of Defense programs
- Working directly with various business/functional teams to identify, assess, treat and report risks that may materially impact Visa and working with Corporate Risk team to develop and enhance risk mitigation plans
The role may be based in any of the following locations: Foster City, CA; San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA
Qualifications
Basic:
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 5 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhDBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business field preferred.
Preferred:
- Payments industry experience
- Experience analyzing operational, regulatory, legal, fraud, reputation, compliance, strategic, technology and/or transaction risks
- Experience in building and operationalizing an ERM Foundation, including policy development, assessments, Frameworks, Standards, Guidance, Training, and Reporting Standards
- Advanced knowledge of ERM and traditional risk management and its relationship within a large organization, including an understanding of the “three lines of defense” model and application
- Demonstrated capability to apply risk management concepts, analysis, and support to strategic decision-making processes
- Experience assessing and articulating risks in complex businesses environments
- Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining an organizations ERM Foundation (Risk Frameworks, Risk Appetite, Standards, Training) critical to protecting enterprise
- Experience with risk identification, assessment, and mitigation of material risks, while driving maturity within 1st line of defense control environment
- Business/financial acumen, translating risks into quantitative business impact
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to collaborate in a global, matrix environment
- Strong execution skills with the ability to work across broad range of stakeholders and topics with limited guidance
- Understanding and application of risk management standards (COSO, PFMIs, IIA, OCC guidance)
Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
