Job Description

Our Visa internship program occurs during the summer months only.

The payments world is changing with new players, experiences, and expectations. Over half of Visa’s volume is now digital. All of this brings enormous new growth opportunities for digital and risk payment products.  

The North America Product team is responsible for evaluating and launching critical digital and risk solutions in our market. This internship position provides the opportunity to help shape and execute Visa’s Digital and Risk Solutions strategy for North America (NA) in partnership with our largest clients, industry leading brands, and technology platform providers.

The position is based in San Francisco, California and may require occasional commuting to Foster City, California.

Job responsibilities may include

  • Develop product and go-to-market strategies for digital/risk products in close partnership with global development teams
  • Develop business cases to assess market opportunity, derive revenue estimates and determine client/Visa ROI
  • Evaluate product / solution related regulatory and operational risks, adherence to Visa Rules, and IP considerations
  • Develop an overarching GTM strategy and plan including:
    • Client segmentation / targeting criteria and considerations
    • Commercial constructs, terms, agreements, and pricing structures
    • Pilot framework and strategy, launch communications plan and execution framework
    • Launch and execution plan for general availability
    • Develop and disseminate materials to educate internal and external stakeholders on new offerings
    • Orchestrate cross-functional coordination to execute launches as well as to accelerate product adoption

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, graduating December 2022 or later (NOTE: fields of study such as Business, Economics, Engineering, CS, Cognitive Science, or a related field may indicate a good fit, but are not exhaustive.)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent scale)
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outstanding executive communication skills (verbal and visual) with an ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to correlate data and trends to business drivers, while thinking big and leading executive messaging; utilize data and metrics to communicate needs with ease
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and operates under minimal supervision: high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity; efficient with limited resources
  • Passionate about what you do and fired up about the opportunity to transform payments working for the industry leader

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
