Job Description
Visa Managed Services is the execution muscle of VCA capitalizing on VCA’s success and existing relationships in markets. VMS is a continuation of VCA engagements to achieve incremental impact for Visa and our clients.
The Managed Services Senior manager is a lead consulting role in the Middle East and North Africa team (MENA). We are seeking a strategic, innovative and analytical thinker who is passionate about creating incremental sustainable impact with our clients through leveraging data-driven solutions and consultative approaches.
As a senior consultant, you are expected to deliver across three key areas: 1) Champion the implementation of consulting and data-driven strategies, 2) Creation and scaling new managed services solutions that caters to our clients’ needs in areas of digital, portfolio, risk, loyalty, new products launch and go to market 3) Drive business development.
The successful candidate will have to travel frequently and work onsite with key clients across MENA markets.
Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Area
- Deliver Managed services engagements that drives sustainable incremental impact to VISA clients
- Client engagement cuts across all lifecycle stages of customers from acquisition assessment and optimization of traditional channels and digital channels, portfolio management initiatives from activation, usage acceleration, retention management, cross sell, new product and program launches as loyalty and management of loyalty programs, build and implement contact strategy on authorization optimization and fraud management, that would include setting up, training outbound tele calling agents, sales teams and customer service units.
- Ensure tracking of all engagement and initiatives driven by managed services
- Synthesize and manage complex project structures. Manage, facilitate, and implement consulting services and meet client's business targets (assignment objectives, project scope, budget, paperwork, vendor management, external consultants' supervision and project delivery).
- Identify new needs in markets and by verticals as governments, merchants, fintechs to develop new solutions that caters to market demand
- Build new solutions and delivery platforms that includes design, identifying partners internally and externally, pricing and testing through MVPs then adapting to scale and go to market or pivoting leveraging an agile methodology
- Identify opportunities with in visa to partner with different divisions to collaborate and create end to end solutions to our clients and enable scaling Visa solutions and products overall.
- Work on client site to design and project manage engagements as needed
- Work closely with other Visa groups, including Product, Marketing etc., to ensure a seamless delivery from the client’s perspective
- Use VISA and external data to analyze client needs across the focus markets and identify opportunities for consulting assignments with VISA’s key clients.
- To drive business development, coordinate with Country Managers and Account Executives, run roadshows to accelerate managed services awareness, develop account plans for managed services, analytics activities and support
- Develop project pitches and secure new assignments with clients, as well as "re-engagements opportunities" via a consultative sales approach in assigned markets.
- Develop and deliver client-training programs and impart best practices knowledge sharing to VISA clients.
- Where appropriate, work with designated practice areas globally to incorporate best practice, source analytical or other services and leverage global managed services solutions.
- Manage the applicable Visa Consulting budget and resources to perform all required duties.
- Liaise with VISA functional teams (Finance, Audit, Legal, Tax, Sourcing) to define and implement processes to optimize the daily engagement of vendors and the relationships with clients.
- Managing team workload, providing prioritization guidance for project flow to improve process efficiency
- Work with regional Data Science team to develop high-quality products and solutions that promote growth and business development for the region
- Socialize innovative ideas and approaches that are scalable and have market demand
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least fifteen years of solid experience gained within the banking industry across consumer, commercial and acquiring business combined with experience in top-tier consulting firm. A combination of regional and global experience strongly desired.
- Expertise in banking vary across; portfolio and product management, sales excellence, loyalty program management, risk management, understanding of core banking systems, digital experience across acquisition, adoption and engagement overall.
- Deep consulting skills and client engagement capabilities. Advanced client management and presentation skills. Credibility with clients and working teams and diplomatic skills to extract desired outcomes. Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and VISA.
- Highly analytical with advanced PowerPoint skills and Excel skills. SAS skills desired but not prerequisite.
- Superior project management skills. Fluent communicator.
- Results driven, flexible and both internally and externally customer focused.
- Able to travel frequently and work on client site for extended periods across MENA.
- Self-motivated and able to use own initiative with limited direction.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with inter-disciplinary groups.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Islamic banking knowledge and experience in Sharia compliant product development is desired but not a prerequisite
- Fluency in English mandatory. Arabic and French is desired but not a prerequisite
- Position is based out of Egypt
