Job Description

Visa is seeking a highly capable individual to manage Visa's Insider Threat program, including assisting with enhancing the program framework, policies, standards and procedures, technology, governance, and overall reporting. This individual will also be responsible for performing case management, investigations, and analysis with the goal of predicting, detecting, and responding to insider threats and incidents.

Essential Functions:

  • Proactively gather and compile internal/external intelligence data

  • Proactively analyze data, perform research, and verify information for potential misconduct or anomalous behavior; conduct investigations when necessary

  • Utilize data mining tools to collect, search, analyze, sort and organize large amounts of information; develop systems to maintain and regularly re-evaluate it

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with lines of business, and key internal and external stakeholders, including Global Security, Cyber, Legal, Business Conduct, ER, HR, peer networks, Law Enforcement partners, and others to guide risk mitigation efforts

  • Coordinate response activities with various stakeholders for confirmed incidents and recommend mitigation strategies; brief Senior Leadership when necessary

  • Continuously evaluate changes in actors, tactics, techniques, and targets to enhance threat scenarios and use cases; make recommendations to ensure technology strategy maintains pace with changing insider threat landscape

  • Evaluate historical events and incidents to identify trends and methods of threats

  • Develop metrics on Insider Threat activities

  • Assist with planning and execution of Insider Threat training

  • Execute special projects as required

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 5 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• Two years' or more relevant insider threat, investigative, or intelligence experience
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Intelligence Studies, Political Science, International Relations, Criminal Justice, or related)
• Knowledge of incident response, crisis management, data management best practices, and cyber security trends
• Demonstrated success in working closely with a range of company partners, to include Security, Legal, HR, and Business Conduct, as well as external partners such as industry peers and Law Enforcement
• Strong oral and written communication, analytical, critical thinking, data management, and research skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including translation of complex concepts and issues into insights/potential impact for Senior Management and non-technical audiences; strong interpersonal skills
• Experience conducting end-to-end investigations, including collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and handling sensitive materials

Preferred Qualifications
• 9+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3+years of experience with a PhD
• Specialized training in WAVR-21 or other threat assessment methodologies for determining risk for insider or external threats
• Specialized training and experience covering one or more of the following types of issues is preferred, but not required: geopolitical instability, political violence, terrorism, protective intelligence, cyber security, executive protection, travel safety & security, issue-based activism, man-made/natural disaster response and recovery, insider threat/workplace violence, and counterintelligence/corporate espionage.

• International travel experience

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
