Job Description

This role sits in Visa's Europe Controllership team, which establishes, and monitors controls associated with Finance Operations, including Accounts Payable, Card Programs, and Supplier Maintenance activities and the role will report to the AP Senior Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Accounts Payable, the ability to work with cross-functional teams able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, keen eye for detail and ability to problem solve, all with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.

With the integration of further business units’ this role will also play a key part in supporting our vendors and internal customers on Visa standard AP processes to ensure both departmental and company’s external KPIs are met.

Responsibilities

Accountable to proactively manage E2E process of invoices and therefore contribute to achieve the KPI of 95% POT ensuring that:

  • invoices received are valid, recorded, approved, and processed for payment within the agreed terms of vendor account.

  • Timely resolution of invoice queries, exceptions, and other anomalies with suppliers and internal business.

  • Perform monthly vendor reconciliations on key or complex vendors.

  • Assist in preparation of weekly /monthly Key performance Indicators to ensure service standards are met and ‘Paid on time’ metrics improved.

  • Record issues in the issue log to ensure transparency and contribute to effective problem resolution.

  • Provide supporting documentation for audits and respond to external and internal auditor inquiries.

  • Supporting and contributing to Accounts Payables projects

  • Provide cover and support for colleagues

Managing relationships

  • Maintain good working relationships with suppliers, third party providers and internal customers across Visa and beyond.

  • Partnering with Visa Sourcing and Accounts Payable team to share insights on process.

  • Collaborating with procurement, operations support and Purchase Order Owners to enhance the process.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable.
• Oracle/Ariba Accounts Payable experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, (face to face, phone and written) with the ability to work with and influence customers to follow standard processes.
• Good analytical ability with good Excel skills.
• Independent and self-motivated.
• Attention to detail and a keen sense of accuracy.
• Hands-on work ethic to complete all tasks on time within KPIs.
• Curiosity to learn and a pro-active approach to self-development.
• Educated to Degree level or equivalent work experience.
