Job Description

What we expect of you, day to day...

  • Be an expert on across Visa digital, authentication and core solutions, with a deep technical understanding. Products including Visa’s instalments, Click to Pay, Visa Secure, Loyalty and Visa developer platform.
  • Have a strong understanding of the products technically and commercially. Be able to ideate, with clients to develop solutions within the bounds of the products and offer technical guidance on how best to integrate Visa products and solutions.
  • Provide expert advice to business leaders and developers who want to use Visa’s services – understanding the client’s business problem or market opportunity, helping them find the right integration for the job.
  • The successful candidate will be hands-on with business development on the merchant, enablers and issuing sides of our network business.  In addition, he/she must be highly collaborative, bring a structured approach to client engagement and documentation, employ moderation and facilitation skills, have a passion for payments, and have an ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide pre and post-sale technical support such as customer reviews of product API capabilities, implementation of platform SDKs and APIs, onboarding technical support and test plans
  • Support sales and technical integration process, work with account management and business development team towards converting priority clients to Visa digital product/solution adoption
  • Actively manage pipeline of clients, ecosystem providers and solutions providers 
  • Work closely with Global, Europe hub, and other Visa companies to help scale projects and expand adoption including understanding and addressing associated impacts and requirements 
  • Drive solutions adoption in UK&I and look at commercial opportunities to scale/distribute that allows for broadening credit and instalments products across new markets, and expanding in existing markets 
  • Work closely with industry and internal stakeholders across the organization to understand market needs and improve solutions with enhancements that lead to better competitiveness.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to leadership levels of Visa management on key metrics and objectives; adapt overall tactics and strategies to address challenges/issues/opportunities 
  • As requirements of this role evolve, adapt to growing needs of the team and broader products organization 

Qualifications

What we're after...

  • Significant track record of Solution Architecture and/or Technical Product Management in a technology or financial services roles
  • Payments industry experience is preferred but not necessary
  • High degree of competence in RESTful and Soap APIs , , various architecture patterns, API and SDK integration, mobile/web application development
  • Design thinking product development methodology experience preferred
  • Seasoned leader who can direct, coach and motivate teams
  • Industry knowledge of BNPL and solution vendors is nice to have 
  • Curious and inquisitive problem solver - thrives in difficult and big problem spaces 
  • Rigorous thinker, ability to transpose business, financial and technical understanding to relevant market inputs with sales and product teams as well as with external client discussions - leading to commercial & revenue opportunities 
  • Deep understanding of how to scale and distribute products/services within a technology company 
  • Ownership and driving impact are important aspects to the role, must have the mindset to fully understand and quickly overcome commercial, technical, industry and internal challenges to succeed 
  • Comfortable in iterative and continuous change to maximise opportunities and drive efficiencies 
  • Strong ability to progress solutions and enhancements with urgency and prioritised focus for commercial and strategic benefits for our customers and Visa
