Job Description

Location:             Atlanta, GA or Austin, TX

The Senior Director, Global Inclusion Strategy develops and builds out and drives Visa’s global Inclusion & Diversity framework informed by regional engagement, data insights and best practices.  The role will be responsible for building a Global Center of Excellence for Inclusive business practices related to talent, social impact, sustainability, product development, and client engagement. The Center of Excellence will require building out the infrastructure to execute on a global strategy, encompassing knowledge management, best practices, tools, capabilities, resources, and ideation.

This role is critical to globalizing and integrating the shared vision for the Inclusive Impact & Sustainability function. Stakeholders include Visa’s 5 regions, sales teams, clients and partners, product teams, sustainable commerce influencers, government engagement, employee resource groups, and corporate communications. The position requires comfort with data and application of best practices to drive insights for action to be used in developing, managing and setting direction for partnerships already in place at Visa and identifying new partnership opportunities and strong influencing skills to drive change across key regional stakeholders.

Job Scope

  • Direct engagement working in five markets – North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin American & Caribbean, CE Middle East & Africa.
  • Purpose-driven scope on causes of critical importance (diverse talent, poverty, empowerment, community building, financial inclusion, and environment) to countries and markets around the world.
  • Project and program management including assessment, use of analytical tools, research, metric design, database management, best practice deployment, convening groups, external collaborations, and online knowledge management.
  • Analytical and critical thinking for global ideation and locally relevant implementation.
  • Build collaborative work teams with excellent cross-cultural communications skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Build out and grow a Center of Excellence for Inclusive business practices, leveraging data and best practices, related to talent, social impact, sustainability, product development and client engagement
  • Build infrastructure that supports critical thinking and execution against key global I&D goals, leveraging data and analytics to inform key business decisions
  • Drive awareness of I&D and its value across our global business, coordinating across the business to support key stakeholders
  • Build and drive collaborative, cross-functional working teams and enable local teams to implement locally relevant inclusive business practices
  • Promote organization-wide awareness of diversity and inclusion with a global lens, ensuring locally relevant awareness of inclusion and diversity issues
  • Serve as subject matter expert and liaison to regional I&D teams to serve as a critical thought partner, ensuring alignment of programs with overall I & D strategy
  • Remain current on diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices, programs, and metrics outside of Visa to optimize and integrate within our company’s goals and strategic approach, delivering best practices across the company

This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 0 - 15% of the time.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate brings prior global inclusion, diversity and financial inclusion experience
• Experience with a global scope is required, with direct understanding of geographic and cultural differences
• Project/Program management skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with data analysis tools to drive awareness and project planning

• Minimum 10+ years of prior Inclusion & Diversity consulting and/or economic mobility experience
• Experience living and working on I&D issues outside the United States, with demonstrated understanding of I&D in key countries
• Proven, progressive experience and demonstrated effectiveness managing projects, leading programs or initiatives
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization
