Job Description

Team Summary:

Regulations and fast changing market dynamics are setting up Open Banking to be one of the most dynamic Fintech verticals – our aim is to enable Visa clients and partners leverage data and open platforms to drive better customer engagement and outcomes that grow their business. The Asia Pacific Open Banking team is responsible for leading the strategy, prioritization, development, and delivery of Visa’s product roadmap in this exciting area.

The team collaborates with in-market and global stakeholders to deliver against this product roadmap across Open Data, Digital Identity Consent Management and Account-to-Account payments.

What a Senior Solutions Manager for the Open Banking team will do:

As the Manager driving solutions deployment, you will contribute to the strategy, prioritization and deployment of account-based payment solutions in the Asia Pacific region.  You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including partners and clients in the development of solutions in-house within Visa or through partners specialising in payment initiation and new money movement in Open Banking regimes. Contributing to solution design, identifying partnerships, scoping the build of products and services while working with global leaders, technology partners and in-market teams will bring this vision to life.

Important to the role is a client-oriented mindset when developing solutions while having a strong commercial understanding of a network business and application of leading payment technologies. Your passion for developing new payment experiences and a market focused approach will enable you to succeed in this role.  This role is based in the Asia Pacific regional hub in Singapore and will work closely with priority markets on solutions development and development.

Specific work areas will include:

  • Driving joint solution development efforts in the area of Account-to-Account working with partners and clients  while collaborating with various internal stakeholders who own the different capabilities and platforms within Visa.  This involves being able to grasp functional and technical aspects of different solutions and combine them with partners’ solutions and capabilities to create market-first offerings
  • Develop local business requirements and drive implementation through regional and global teams in close collaboration with other key functional areas including risk, strategy and government relations
  • Evaluate local partnerships across multiple markets which can potentially lead to strategic investments; assist in the development of strategic recommendations and business cases for possible local partnerships or acquisitions to assist achieving Visa’s strategic goals.
  • Provide guidance and expertise for product and client facing teams and lead discussions with prospective clients.
  • Provide input and leadership to regulatory and industry developments (e.g., Open Banking regulations, data protection, data privacy and localization requirements)
  • Close monitoring of market trends, emerging technologies and prospective partners in the general Data Solutions space
  • Own and drive implementation milestones during POC, MVP stages and revenue targets through initial commercialization phase

Qualifications

What you will need:
To be successful in this role you will need:
• Ability to articulate Visa’s strategic vision and solution constructs that execute against it, to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to engage diverse groups, including senior executives
• Solution-led thinking; particularly in the payments space
• To challenge and inspire colleagues and enable them to gain confidence and familiarity with Visa’s data solutions.
• Agility in working with cross-functional teams as we iterate through different solution constructs and commercial structures.

The following are mandatory requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree ideally, a BA/BS/B Eng. degree in related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in conjunction with a less technical bachelor’s degree
• Minimum eight years’ experience in a related field with Product management experience including, product conception as well as launching, building, and growing multiple products (preferable in the payments domain)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Design, and Marketing
• Experience working in a highly matrixed environment with global and regional teams
• Experience working with a variety of stakeholders and clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
