Job Description

The Sr. Alliances Sales Engineer position is part of the larger CyberSource Enterprise Sales – North America team. As a key contributor in the success of the Alliances organization, the Sr. Alliances Sales Engineer is primarily responsible for providing presentations, solution demonstrations, industry best practices and ongoing support to strategic financial and technology partners. Internally, the role requires collaboration with various departments including Direct Sales, Product Management, Product Development, Customer Support and Marketing to communicate market-facing feedback and industry trends. Light to moderate travel is required for attendance of sales meetings, conferences and partner events.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expertise of CyberSource core platform solutions and partner integrations

  • Inject CyberSource expertise and industry best practices into the design and architecture of new and existing strategic partner solutions

  • Train strategic partner teams on CyberSource products and solution messaging

  • Provide ongoing technical expertise, guidance, and support to new and existing partners

  • Solve complex business and technical requirements through the application of CyberSource solutions

  • Engage with internal teams including Product Management, Product Development, Customer Support and Product Marketing to relay market feedback and provide input into the design of new solutions

  • Contribute to completion of RFI/RFP requests

  • Lead regular internal training sessions with sales and customer success teams

  • Actively participate as a subject matter expert in industry conferences, tradeshows, summits and alliance partner events

  • This role can be a telecommuter 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

• 10+ years of technical sales experience within the payment industry
• Previous experience working with Alliance/Channel partners is required
• Confident speaker with ability to present, interact, and connect with executives and engineers
• Natural ability to understand and articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Strong personal desire to improve and expand industry-related knowledge
• Strong knowledge of CyberSource solutions
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent self-investigation, research, and troubleshooting skills
• Technical background including a BS degree in CS, CIS, or related discipline
• Ability to travel up to 35%

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
