The Senior Manager of Business Development role is responsible for leading strategic technology partner initiatives and execution against new revenue streams, growth and development across Visa’s most strategic partners and prospects.  As an individual contributor, this individual will be expected to manage cross-functional deal teams supporting new business development activities, ongoing partner recruitment & team development.

We are seeking a thought leader with consultative enterprise and solution selling experience to take on this function. This individual will engage and work extensively in partnership with other Business Development and Partner Success Leaders to execute on our growth strategies and directly contribute to the ongoing expansion of the Technology Partner program for Visa.

Our ideal candidate will have a breadth of industry knowledge and experience including, enterprise sales, business development, technical/consultative-selling, transformation and problem-solving skills.  This person will demonstrate exceptional collaboration, communication, strategic, analytical, program development/execution as well as a proven track record of success in function.

**This role will entail full-time telecommuter status. This position is open to flex-work arrangement and physical presence in any one of several Visa office locations on the east coast.**

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the identification, pursuit and business development of targeted technology partner/ISV prospects to support distribution and enablement strategies.
  • Work with leadership and cross-functional peers to formulate and execute against go-to-market strategies across each of the identified strategic initiatives with our alliance and strategic partners.
  • Assess and develop new strategic partner channels tied to key &/or under-penetrated vertical industries of focus.
  • Directly contribute to the Business Development team success, growth & development by applying and/or reinforcing new disciplines and greater structure in function.
  • Dedicated Technology partner/ISV functional, field-level liaison aligned to special projects &/or strategic initiatives as defined by leadership.
  • Promote technology partner/ISV interests & integrated solutions internally alongside Product, Marketing & Merchant or Acquirer Sales stakeholders
  • Build and nurture C-level relationships across key targets to further solidify position and commitment to new prospects and/or partner relationships
  • Develop, track and execute against monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue targets (KPIs) & other performance metrics as per the Annual Operation Plan (AOP).
  • Identify and analyze key metrics, trends and opportunities to ensure a disciplined approach to the prioritization, investment and decision-making process.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including; Marketing, Sales-Operations, Technical Sales, FP&A, Product Management/Development to make accurate, informed decisions.
  • Understand Visa’s broader corporate strategies to facilitate prioritization of business development initiatives aligned to product roadmap priorities.
  • Provide executive program oversight and ongoing partner communication.
  • Work collaboratively across Visa’s many functional business units to drive greater awareness, value to portfolio and new, innovative customer experiences alongside our strategic partners.
  • Work within a driven and highly motivated team to provide a world-class partner experience to many of the world's largest and most respected Enterprise Technology Platforms & Consultancies
  • Be a key contributor in “making a difference” in one of the World’s largest, most well- respected brands

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• 6 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 3 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 5 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD or PhD)

• 6+ years of Payment Industry and/or related SaaS/High Tech industry experience
• 6+ years of proven success in a sales, business development &/or alliance partner function
• Strong strategic Consultative Selling and Customer Relationship management experience focusing on Enterprise B2B and B2C partner segments
• Significant experience in engaging and facilitating dialogue with C-level and senior executives at Fortune 1,000 companies
• Success in working in a “fast paced” environment leveraging CRM tools such as, Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce.com.
• Ability to work independently and in a strong, collaborative team environment and to deliver on detail as well as strategy
• Strong understanding of business process
• Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) that are leveraged to address complex business issues, negotiations and opportunities
• Experience based “Issue Resolution” skills that facilitate dialogue across all levels of a business including the c-suite
• Ability to prioritize deliverables and projects to meet timelines efficiently, to adapt to changes in priorities quickly, and to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with focus on a drive to completion and tangible impact.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel up to 25% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
