This role can be based out of New York, Foster City, San Francisco, Atlanta, Austin, or Denver.

The Global Head of Executive Talent Management will help drive the design and implementation of our enterprise strategy, processes, and tools for the global succession planning process, developing future capabilities to deliver a high-performance growth culture and business success. This leader will also design, develop, and implement a holistic leadership capability framework, providing consistent assessment, development and coaching approaches for executives and high potential talent globally. This will enhance Visa’s ability to uplift everyone everywhere by differentiating through the strength of our executive leadership and talent management practices.
The role reports to the VP, Global Talent Management and will be a key member of the Global Talent Management Leadership team.
Essential Functions:
- As part of the global talent management team, help to shape the talent management strategy and roadmap
- Enhance and scale the OTR (Organization Talent Review) process to assess and develop current and future executive leadership talent and generate deep insights that propel the right action for Visa to ensure we have the leadership capabilities required to achieve our business strategy.
- Expand scope and scale of process, engaging successors and increasing focus on diverse talent
- Develop framework for identification of critical capabilities and roles throughout the organization
- Define key actions and metrics to increase accountability and measure quality of review process
- Drive automation of process in partnership with HR Information Technology team
- Operationalize cadence of talent discussions and reporting
- Build a new executive coaching practice, including establishing internal and external executive coaching approach
- Analyze executive development needs of Leaders and partner with Visa University to develop programs and trainings, preparing internal talent for key roles and future needs of the business
- Design and implement approach to measure the effectiveness of selection and development of leaders
- Partner with talent management peers, as well as regional and functional partners, to develop workforce plans that address organizational health, including leadership bench strength and capabilities mapping
- Partner with D&I team to monitor and audit the OTR and executive development practices for unintended bias
- Collaborate with other functional areas to incorporate relevant content into executive development and coaching, as well as OTR approach
Qualifications
• 12 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree; 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of 12 - 15 years of progressive experience in field of top talent development or related fields of leadership development, talent management, or organization development.
• Coaching certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of and deep functional expertise in contemporary talent management practices
• Self-directed, process-oriented individual with strong business acumen and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Highly pragmatic style; quick and adaptive changes in decisions and course of action.
• Thorough and detailed analysis of problems to produce optimal decisions focused on very specific goal
• Proven ability to lead large scale and global change efforts
• Proven ability to build strong relationships, influence key stakeholders, and build consensus around decision-making and problem-solving
• Strong oral/written communication skills
• Breadth of understanding & experience across all Talent COE sub-functions
• Collaborative, enterprise thinking
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
