Job Description

Essential Functions:

The Visa Business Solutions North America Small Business Undergraduate intern will be responsible for working closely with the Small Business Solutions specialist team to create thought leadership content & analysis for presentation to clients and internal stakeholders.  The content will focus on Small Business payment trends, challenges, and opportunities.  This intern will have the opportunity to work closely with and be mentored by industry leaders.

The successful candidate will focus on the following activities:

  • Development of thought leadership content from external and internal data to generate insights for the team to drive Small Business opportunities and associated decisions – industry, market, competitive and company specific intelligence efforts, etc.
  • Support client conversations and meetings in the provision of data, analytics and reporting for the client engagement team
  • Support the team in developing go-to-market strategies for the various “segments” within US
  •  Deliver on end-to-end projects, with substantial team support, in areas such as   client enablement, reporting and analysis
  •  Development of briefings and presentations to drive senior-level discussion for   all stages of issuer discussion lifecycle, from initiation to deal execution
  •  Periodically report and consolidate information about the status of activities   and issuer performance:  pipeline development, ongoing deals and existing   partnership management.
  •  Assist with the prioritization of opportunities by evaluating the strategic and financial value of potential opportunities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, graduating December 2022 or later
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent scale)
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment.
  • Work Authorization: Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position. Future sponsorship will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Rising Senior or will be entering final year of study Fall 2022
  • Curiosity to want to be the first in the know via what the data says
  • Understanding of using Databases and Database tools (SQL)
  • Ability to extract insights from research using advanced excel and advanced modeling methodology
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools/technology (Tableau, Microsoft BI)
  • Microsoft Office Proficient (Ppt, Excel, Word)
  • Data visualization acumen
  • Excellent written and oral communication
