Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with product managers to develop value proposition, commercialization activities and go-to-market planning for a set of Risk Management products. We are looking for a customer-obsessed Sr. Outbound Product Manager / Senior Product Marketing Manager to help drive one of the most exciting businesses at Visa. Core responsibility areas are:

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to develop a comprehensive research agenda to inform product and marketing strategy for product(s).
  • Produce compelling product narratives and effective messaging for customer value proposition
  • Develop GTM launch marketing strategy focused on measurable impact, and partner with x-functional teams such as sales, marketing, and legal to increase awareness, sales, and engagement.
  • Coordinate marketing and product launch activities across international and cross-functional teams.
  • Design and implement new marketing processes to help scale new products and business lines
  • Participate in building a culture where everyone is respected and valued.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about products, have strong product development and process design skills as well as outstanding project management abilities. They should excel in both strategic thinking and tactical execution, as responsibilities range from creating business plans to driving product development. The candidate should also feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working in a very entrepreneurial environment. The role will interact with and influence multiple teams across the organization (US and global) like Sales, Finance, Legal, Design, Quality, Consumer Insights, Operations, etc.

Some of the key job functions of the role are:

  • Leads, directs, supervises and controls the execution of all business, fiscal and administrative functions of the assigned product category.
  • Possesses a broad operations background and has the ability to “roll up their sleeves” and jump in and drive resolution, along with managing a team.
  • Comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading.
  • Is capable of taking accountability and driving planning, resolution and execution with his/her team. ∙ Responsible for overall project schedule that enables the teams to be successful based upon the project milestones and Go-Live.
  • Monitors and reports on the progress of all activity within the product area including significant milestones and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
∙ 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
∙ 5+ years in product management/ product development/ project management is required.
∙ Proficient in Excel and SQL.
∙ Exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
∙ Strong analytic skills with experience using qualitative and quantitative to develop product strategies.

Preferred Qualifications
∙ 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
∙ Experience in marketing, brand management, brand development, customer insights.
∙ Exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
∙ Strong analytic skills with experience using qualitative and quantitative to develop product strategies.
∙ Competence with SQL (basic queries).
∙ Ability to manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation.
∙ Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results on projects.
