Job Description
This is an entry level position for the opportunity to learn and grow into a DevOps career. Our team's purpose is to support an on-premise, agile development lifecycle (SSDLC) by designing an automated and defect free implementation process into numerous non-production and production environments. This includes new product requests, migrating applications into a standard Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) framework and automation of manual tasks.

POSITION: Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs Appl. Prog. Analysts in Highlands Ranch, CO to design, implement, automate and support application build releases, deployments, and configurations. Schedule, implement, and automate security compliance patching and updates on Development and QA servers. Ensure continuous availability of various tools supporting SCM & Release Management including Source Control, Continuous Integration, and Change Management. Implement and support Continuous Integration and Deployment Pipelines. Engage with cross-functional co-located teams in design, development and implementation of enterprise scalable features related to enabling higher developer productivity, environment monitoring and self-healing, and facilitate autonomous delivery teams. Support and develop on all 3 layers of the stack related to infrastructure, middleware, and continuous integration and delivery frameworks. Provide third level technical support to technical teams within Visa to support the implementation of modifications and/or new solutions. Support the implementation of new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software; and troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis to address and resolve issues and keep them from repeating.

Essential Functions
- Maintain and support standards throughout the (CI/CD) framework across multiple on-premise environments for building and deploying .NET and Java in a 3-tier application model.
- Work with and use software configuration management tools to support product updates, locate and resolve errors and issues and support software integrations.
- Review and document processes and procedures related to all DevOps tasks and development.
- Improve our customer experience by reducing errors and identify manual processes that can be automated.
- Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis to address and resolve issues and keep them from repeating.
- Responsible for daily support non-production environments. This will include but not be limited to troubleshooting 3-tier Web Applications and OS (Windows and Linux) and third party application issues; deploying, installing, configuring proprietary software; monitoring hardware usage and performance as it applies to the environments; and gather metrics to understand trends and quantify the value of standardizing and automation.
- Participate in Agile processes including stand-ups, sprint planning, Scrum and Kanban, code reviews and retrospectives.
- Schedule, implement, and automate security compliance patching and updates to servers across multiple environments.
Basic Qualifications
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent or relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of work experience or an Associates degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, or a related field.

- Experience with source code version controls such as GIT or other version control tools.
- Knowledge with common development languages such as DotNet, Java, C# along with tools sets such as Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio, Eclipse or other similar tools to develop web service applications.
- Knowledge of web services components such as REST, SOAP, JSON, XML
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GIT, BitBucket, Repositories, Chef, Ansible.
- Experience with data center or software migrations.
- Experience with Linux operating system.
- Experience with operating system update tools such as Microsoft's SCCM and package managers for Unix systems.
