Visa is currently seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Systems Analyst - Reporting and Analytics to play a critical role in Finance Systems Strategy (FSS) organization. This role will design data solutions to automate business and system processes to meet business needs. The role defines best practices in the business information processes, functional design and implementation of data sourcing, validation and consumption to support various finance projects and stakeholders. Responsible for solution quality, functional performance, scalability and usability. Provides architectural and “big picture” oversight for the implementation.

The Sr. Financial Systems Analyst role will work in a matrixed role, collaborating with the various Finance functions, FSS groups and technology to ensure alignment of Finance data solutions to the long-term application strategy and analytical reporting.

This is an individual contributor role.

Your role is to liaise between, and report to, internal stakeholders, including project managers, programmers and developers, throughout the development process.

You will conduct a cost analysis and agree the time frame to implement the proposed solution. You'll specify and shape the system requirements and operations, the user interface and output and present the proposal to the business. You will work closely with the business team, including managers and software developers, during both the solution development and implementation phase.

Responsibilities

  • Sr. Financial systems analyst is responsible for configure, implement, maintain, and customize the systems that store and process financial data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to determine primary needs and goals and create solutions to meet those objectives.
  • Configure systems, assist with data migration, oversee the implementation of workflow processes, assist with user access and permissions, and perform ongoing troubleshooting.
  • Prepare reports and create a variety of other materials including training documentation and department procedures.
  • Work with project managers and product owners to provide regular updates to business champions on work in process, work in backlog and potential improvement opportunities
  • Perform analysis and testing during the agile development process.
  • Contribute to technology and reporting solutions and support automation efforts.
  • Position emphasizes working as a team to deliver process optimization, system and process improvements, and execution of changes and testing required to propel Finance Transformation efforts across a broad assortment of systems.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 8 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 6 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD degree
• 6 + years Financials systems experience with Reporting focus (Management, Functional support, Analysis, and Reporting)
• 5+ Years of experience in developing Reporting templates and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI and SSAS.
• Experience in the Corporate Finance systems with the focus on Reporting.
• Experience in working with Finance applications reporting and providing the industry best practices to the user community
• Implementation lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, build, testing, & go-live)
• Experience supporting large projects (>$3M) budgets, risks, resources, and staffing
• This position requires proven analytical and reporting experience with Finance systems within a global organization
• Excellent data analysis skills and demonstrated experience in leading testing, validation, Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing for large transformation programs.
• Knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling
• OBIEE with Essbase and/or Microstrategy is beneficial
• Excellent SQL skills
• Knowledge of Big Data/Hadoop
• Experience with one or more Cubing technologies like Essbase, TM1, SSAS, AtScale, etc.
• Experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
• Ability to learn quickly and achieve in-depth understanding of complex processes and systems
• Working knowledge of accounting treatments and statistical reporting and General Ledger Applications
• Strong leadership and organization skills
