Job Description

What’s it all about?

As part of Visa’s strategic partnership with one of our key global card issuing clients, we are recruiting for a Senior Manager Ecommerce Partnerships to support our client partner with the development of ecommerce partnerships to support the growth of their Visa card portfolios globally.  This role will be embedded with our Client’s Global Partnerships team in London and will work with their markets and partners globally, with a focus across Asia Pacific, to identify, target, deliver and grow new partnerships in the ecommerce space.

 

What we expect of you, day to day:

  • Act as a bridge between Visa and the Client to ensure deep collaboration between both parties in the partnership space

  • Build and manage partnerships focusing on the fast-paced ecommerce environment globally to grow the Client’s VISA portfolios.

  • Serve as the Client’s partnerships link between markets and the rest of the Client’s Retail Banking global partnerships team based in UK, with a focus on Asia Pacific markets

  • Sole focus on building and managing the Client’s Visa portfolios globally by identifying and solving real customer needs, working closely with cross-functional teams within the Client’s Retail Banking and Wealth Products (e.g. digital, marketing, other partnership teams) and country teams

  • Prioritize partnership opportunities based on alignment of strategic goals, potential to be multimarket and commercial viability

  • Design and run Customer centric sprints / workshops with markets and partners by defining vision statements, persona creation and jobs to be done.

  • Develop a partnerships framework to evaluate 3rd party partnerships opportunities, to Increase new customer acquisition, portfolio engagement by aligning to the strategic vision of positioning the Client as a market leader in eComm

  • Run RFPs and design and implement pilots / proof of concepts quickly and drive desired results

  • Create realistic business cases to justify partnerships

  • Plan and run working groups and steering groups to manage complex and geographically spread out stakeholder matrix

  • Ownership of partners with end to end relationship management responsibility and bringing in required subject matter experts when required

  • Negotiate and manage key strategic deals with third parties and partners while insuring the right product development and management frameworks for this particular set of customers are in place

  • Drive partner selection process for the Business, and execute contracts, due diligence and negotiate commercials

  • Drive end to end execution of partnership project and be the key contact for country managers for Retail Banking and Wealth Management partnership support

  • Manage and evaluate performance of partnerships and ensure that objectives are met with Client and Partner needs

  • Support in the development of marketing plans that support the brand purpose and equity building blocks, as well as supporting customer lifecycle, customer journeys and sales process frameworks for partnership products

Qualifications

  • Experience in the innovation and partnership with direct experience working in delivering innovative propositions in large and complex organization

  • Good understanding of the fintech and ecommerce environment with relevant experience to execute and manage new partnerships

  • Culturally adaptable to cope with internal and external stakeholders across multiple markets.

  • Experience of market leading partnership products capability

  • Experience of working closely with risk, Technology and digital functions

  • Proven experience delivering complex and value added projects

  • Experience of strategy development, organizational leadership, proposition or product development project management across specific financial product categories and customer segments

  • Experience with multi geography product management in global organizations, and culturally sensitive and understanding of local customer needs

  • Highly numerate and financially literate with strong technical knowledge of partnership Profit and Loss management, and market and industry review for strategy formulation

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • University degree qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant business discipline

  • Knowledge/experience of working on or with Asia Pacific markets would be a strong advantage

  • Previous experience working in different timezones would be advantageous
