Job Description

What’s it all about?

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for actively managing the relationship with assigned Visa clients in Greece, to drive business development and growth through collaboration by leveraging Visa capabilities, resources, services and products.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • You will develop the annual business/account strategy and plans and work for the execution of these plans for the assigned accounts, managing the actions, projects and initiatives that will be required for their portfolio of products and services and business performance. 
  • You will manage the partnership agreements with the clients in scope, aiming at delivering the business growth and performance targets and capturing new opportunities with the clients. You will be participating and supporting the Visa Greece team in the market development activities and initiatives to further Visa’s objectives and targets in the market, including supporting the local multi-member Client forum operations (i.e. Client Council, Working Groups).
  • You will ensure the retention and growth of Visa’s business in the market and proactively develop incremental business streams and partnerships. You will meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives. You will be working alongside clients and the Visa cross-functional teams in the market, liaising with multiple stakeholders with the aim of growing the business through collaboration, building quality, deepening relationships and innovation.
  • You will monitor and analyse the performance of the market and the clients, suggesting ways to develop existing business and bring in new business, improve performance and grow volume, transactions and revenues.
  • You will be identifying client opportunities for new products/services enabling business improvement and growth in line with the market’s business objectives and priorities
  • You will engage with colleagues across Visa, ensuring teams such as marketing, products, merchant sales & acquiring, innovation, operations and consulting are timely and appropriately involved and informed about client opportunities and issues, endeavouring to break down silos and work together as “One Visa”.

Qualifications

What we're after...

  • Previous sales management experience is key. Deep commercial acumen coupled with comprehensive financial and business analytical skills
  • A passion for innovation and technology, and in particular fintech and payments. Excellent knowledge and experience of the payments business and experience in the financial services
  • Understanding the value of client engagement, being sales-focused and pragmatic with the aptitude to identify areas of growth and new opportunities and proactively seek and propose solutions and ways to address those
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at different levels, both internally and externally, in a problem-solving and solution-driven manner. Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills. Be a self-motivated employee who can work alone and in a team

  • Result oriented team player, with strong client focus and communication skills
  • Capacity to become a respected and valued partner at multiple levels within the Client. Broad and comprehensive knowledge of Visa Europe and its products and services would be an advantage
  • Fluency in both Greek and English is critical
