Visa in The Netherlands
Visa in The Netherlands forms an important country in the Central Europe (CE) cluster (Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland and Lichtenstein). Netherlands is among the largest economies in Europe and represents a significant growth opportunity for Visa. V PAY/Visa Debit, Contactless and e/m-commerce have reached a real turning point in the Dutch payment industry, heavily dominated by debit. This will be a key driver for further growth and is imperative to win further share in the market, especially with the launch of Visa Debit in the market.
By driving consumer and merchant preference for Visa’s products and services locally, Visa is transforming the way in which it goes to market. Furthermore, the company is investing in innovation and marketing initiatives to elevate Visa’s position in the payments ecosystem to champion Visa to be everywhere you want to be.
Visa has the opportunity to harness its global assets to deliver strong programs for ‘core’ clients and merchants for card payments. The company is closely collaborating with all key clients in the market and deep partnerships with our clients is a fundamental part of our strategy. What's it all about?
The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for the relationship and coordination for one or multiple Visa clients in The Netherlands, across issuing and acquiring. The AE initiates the right initiatives and follow ups on actions that grow the business relationship between the Client(s) and Visa.
What we expect, day to day:
Works with the client(s) to identify new and ongoing requirements and actively and commercially stimulating them to innovate, introducing new products and services as appropriate. Engage with colleagues across Visa, ensuring teams such as product, innovation, marketing, and consulting are appropriately involved and informed about their client needs, in a matrix environment.
Develops the annual strategic business/account plans for the client to grow and optimize Visa’s product/portfolio and services with the client. Expected to consultatively sell and advise this knowledge to the assigned key client(s).
Works closely together with the broader Dutch team and other colleagues in the Cluster, Hub and Globally. Takes an active role to strengthen the various teams in an agile mode. Should be willing to also support colleagues with their deliverables by performing auxiliary and supportive tasks.
- Maintain an overview of the Value in Kind (VIK) projects and monitor the VIK program on funds spend and progress of the various projects within the program. Manage the product portfolio and services for this client on a day to day basis, ensuring client is provided with appropriate support from Visa.
Prepare briefings for senior management who engage with the client and prepare working groups to determine the value in kind projects in line with the client strategy. Additionally you will prepare the steering committees to receive endorsement on the client annual plan.
What we're after:
Extensive previous experience in sales, account management and/or consulting roles
Knowledge and experience of the digital environment, payments business and/or financial services. Commercial understanding, the ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions
Broad knowledge about Visa and its products and services in The Netherlands.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels in the client organisation. Able to work in an international environment with key colleagues in multiple regions. Agile team player, flexible approach and a curiosity to learn.
Excellent in writing and presenting skills (both Dutch and English). Ideally experienced in working with PowerPoint and Data sources to share insights with the clients.
Is able and willing to work together on multiple strategic topics at the client at the same time within the issuing and acquiring space. Is able to drive, manage and motivate multi-disciplinary Visa teams, answering the needs and driving actively to achieve solutions to challenges of its clients
Is able and willing to support other colleagues and the broader teams' objectives in parallel to driving client-specific strategies.
