Job Description

What's it all about?

The Legal and Compliance Administrator sits within the Legal and Compliance Division and is responsible for supporting the Legal and Compliance functions in delivery, maintenance and improvement of the legal and compliance control frameworks.

What we expect of you, day to day.

The role of the Legal and Compliance Administrator is to support primarily the Legal and Compliance Leadership Team as required, however focus will be on the following activities:

  • Provide administration support to the Visa Payments Legal and Compliance Department (VPL&C)
  • Support on the administrative aspects of the projects, planning and record keeping
  • Support production and consolidation of Management Information and other presentations
  • Assist with contract management
  • Manage agreed central inbox queries in a timely manner and escalate as appropriate to appropriate teams or individuals within VPL&C
  • Participate in the management and ongoing enhancement and development of efficiencies within the VPL&C program procedures as necessary
  • Support internal audits and regulatory requests
  • Monitor and track team milestones and deliverables
  • Manage and maintain accurate records
  • Carry out all on-boarding of new hires including ensuring IT access available and ready to use and all tools available, as well as assisting with facilitation of induction as required
  • Proactively manage and develop effective processes for all identified administration requirements within the team in a highly efficient manner
  • Work on own initiative and accountability for all administration duties
  • Provide support for arranging meetings, events and training sessions
  • Support the resolution of risk and compliance issues, queries and concerns, raised both internally and externally
  • Engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders as may be necessary, including other functions and departments, clients and partners
  • Exemplify the company leadership values and promoting them in all areas of the role, within and outside the function

Qualifications

What We're after..

  • Experience in an administrative role
  • Project Management training/experience desirable
  • Experience working with or within a compliance and/or legal department would be a bonus
  • Highly organised
  • Capable of working collaboratively with employees from all levels of the organization
  • Flexible to work in an environment where needs are continually changing
  • Corporate experience with a proven track record of managing multiple tasks in a complex matrix business and operational environments
  • Self-motivated, adept at working independently and in a dispersed team environment covering multiple and varied tasks
  • Must display a high degree of initiative
  • Intuitive, highly ethical and comfortable to question and challenge when required
  • Ability to multi-task and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral
  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to think laterally and problem solve
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
