Job Description
Visa's Global Brand & Marketing team is searching for a Vice President to lead a Content Development Center of Excellence. The selected candidate will bring leadership, vision and creativity to both creating and advancing the approach to a best-in-class, results-driving centralized in-house content development team.
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Global Brand Strategy & Planning, this role will lead the effort to support business priorities by delivering innovative creative content against key strategic initiatives across owned, earned, paid, and shared channels. He/she will be responsible for developing the content strategy across visa.com and social, formulating the team and creating original content that supports Visa's brand and marketing objectives. Their team will partner with global brand and marketing leaders and subject matter experts across Visa to create engaging content for use across a variety of internal and external channels. He/she will work cross-functionally, partnering with key leaders to deliver cost savings and streamline partnerships and investments across the enterprise.
The successful candidate will understand how to take an audience-based approach to developing compelling content in support of Visa’s mission statement and evolving brand strategy:
- Lead global efforts for Visa.com – content, publishing, editorial team, and enabling success in regional content deployment
- Lead social efforts globally by developing and managing an editorial calendar approach mapped to business objectives, key announcements, and events
- Leverage existing brand and reputation assets to maintain a consistent voice and look, tone and feel
- Manage agreed content agency budgets, internal IT steam, and relationships
- Collaborate with Visa leaders and internal partners to ensure content is relevant and accurately reflects initiatives across the company
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced, results-oriented leader with at least 15 years progressively responsible business experiences and a proven track record in managing digital and social properties; demonstrated expertise in content practices, and procedures; experience writing and managing content creation team (media/publishing, corporate, academic, agency, etc.); ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment; knowledge of key content, digital and social metrics to demonstrate proven ROI; background in leading high-performance teams.

Additional Information
Travel Requirements:
- This position requires the incumbent to travel for work up to 5% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
