Job Description

Cybersource provides payment gateway technology to VISA’s marquee clients in the acquirer and merchant space. You will support Cybersource in its mission to extend its capabilities into the in-store payment acceptance space. You will be part of a feature team within Cybersource that is in charge of providing a sound and high-quality tech stack for our Android based smart terminal platform to enable next generation payment devices. You will take a key role in defining and implementing our vision for our next generation acceptance technology

Essential Functions:

  • Support the creation of a technical vision on the technology stack running on our smart terminals and share your technical expertise in and outside of your team.
  • Extend and maintain our Android payment SDK to implement the technical vision of our future technology stack for smart terminals
  • Actively participate in developing and maintaining the technology platform your team is responsible for and open it up for enhancements from other teams
  • Ensure that the technology platform your team is responsible for is compliant with VISA security standards and uses state-of-the-art cryptographic functions for card data and pin encryption
  • Follow and enhance our testing pyramid which involves hardware testing using self-built robots
  • Ensure that established coding practices are followed and are continuously improved
  • Share knowledge to support the growth of your colleagues inside and outside of your team
  • Contribute to the team work and team growth by suggesting improvements to processes
  • Work closely with the product owner and tech lead in your team to create a technically excellent product
  • Support the maturity process of your team by contributing to a psychological safe and trustful environment

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Excellent Android knowledge
  • Solid understanding of the EMV standard
  • Solid knowledge about asymmetric and symmetric cryptographic functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 +years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA,  JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Excellent Android knowledge
  • Solid understanding of the EMV standard
  • Solid knowledge about asymmetric and symmetric cryptographic functions
  • Solid Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform knowledge 
  • Basic knowledge in other domains like Infrastructure or Backend
