Visa is seeking a highly motivated, energetic and passionate business operations, strategy lead and data analytics Director to own and drive business operations and data analytics for the Visa Business Solutions (VBS) team reporting to the SVP of North America. The ideal candidate will be able to solve business problems, identify opportunities and create roadmaps for our internal and external partners that will result in payment volume and revenue growth. This is an internal support position and is ideal for a candidate that has strong analytical skills, understands payments with experience in small business, commercial and fintech ecosystem
The candidate will leverage data to answer business questions, solve business challenges, create sales and account strategy and desires to further their payments experience. The candidate will develop strategies that help the VBS NA business use data to position, shape and capitalize on emerging customer and market needs. This is a highly matrixed position and the chosen candidate will closely collaborate with business leaders to understand the strategic initiatives of the business and will work across the VBS organization and align strategic goals to actionable roadmaps. They will harness Visa’s large data sets and be able to create client facing materials that identify opportunities, solutions and actions to drive payment volume.
Responsibilities will include:
Support the SVP of Visa Business Solutions on all data and business analysis needs including preparation for internal business reviews, client facing meetings and finance reviews
Coordinate and develop holistic VBS NA strategy with a view from SMB up to LMM taking into account an ecosystem of Fi and non FI partners and clients
Partner with team members in the preparation and delivery of materials, reports and analysis for client facing presentations. Analyze data and package for client delivery creating an executable action plan tailored to our specific client’s business
Support the VBS team by utilizing data analytics in support of growing business and deepening relationships. Including use of internal Visa systems such as GBI, Tableau and other Visa systems to pull data and track performance.
Extensive collaboration and teamwork with key internal Visa partners including VBS global teams, Finance, VC&A, Product, CSS, FI AE’s, and Merchant Sales & Solutions to execute sales plans and strategies.
Support the broader VBS team in tradeshow coordination and preparation of client facing events including pre-communication, scheduling meetings, and follow-up communications
Review competitive landscape and report on new developments that impact the delivery of Visa services and solutions
Review and understand go-to-market approaches in verticals, coordinate delivery of information to internal and external stakeholders when needed
Interaction with finance including presentation of materials to executives when required
Build expertise in Playbook/Salesforce.com and the custodian of reporting analysis and pipeline management
Provide weekly data analytics for the sales teams as requested.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience with financial analysis is a plus
Position requires a minimum of 8+ years business experience with related Visa experience, sales or analytics experience in the payments industry
Exceptional ability to coordinate internal and external resources and nurture cross-functional relationships
Strong financial acumen
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success/achievement.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Superior ability in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Visa systems preferred.
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment (phones and computers), reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds
Travel Requirements: The incumbent may be required to travel up to 10%
