Job Description

The VCA (Visa Consulting & Analytics) Solutions team is responsible for the development, promotion and delivery of scalable and repeatable Consulting Solutions that satisfy common client needs. 

 

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • The successful incumbent will essentially fulfill a ‘hybrid role’:

    • As an experienced strategy consultant able to develop best-in-class payment strategies aimed at helping our clients grow their business in the digital domain (approx. 50% of the role)

    • As a subject matter expert for portfolio conversions and payment scheme migrations in the Central Europe region (approx. 50% of the role)

  • Manage the delivery of high quality consultancy engagements in the Central Europe Cluster

  • Assist in driving meaningful business relationships between Visa and its key clients

  • Whilst reporting into the Head of Visa Consulting & Analytics for Central Europe, the successful incumbent will also form part of the virtual EU migrations hub and thus may be asked to support migration engagements outside of the core Central Europe region

Key Accountabilities:

  • Understand our clients’ business objectives together with the Central Europe Account Management Team

  • Identify opportunities and improvements to grow the digital banking and payment business of our clients

  • Develop and propose appropriate concepts and digital business solutions to clients

  • Assist both new and existing clients to migrate their card portfolios from other payment scheme(s) to Visa

  • Develop end-to-end portfolio conversion strategies that incorporates segmentation analysis, cardholder communication, value proposition development, operational and implementation roadmaps, etc.

  • Lead and deliver projects through either self, other internal or external staff as appropriate

  • Manage project costs to agreed budgets and timeframes and ensure high standard of delivery

  • Leverage Visa’s innovation, product and data capabilities to further grow our clients’ business by working together with the sales and digital product teams as well as the with the Visa Innovation team

  • Assist in driving meaningful business relationships between Visa and its key clients

  • Support Visa Consulting and Analytics practice development by developing both digital and migration-related skills, tools and innovative methodologies on both a personal and team level

Qualifications

  • Mid-level consulting experience in the financial services industry, ideally with understanding of large-scale card portfolio conversions

  • Available to work onsite and remotely with clients preparing for and/or managing migrations

  • Deep knowledge of payment card and banking operations (e.g. card issuing processes, customer communications, back-office operations, etc.)

  • Expert knowledge of payment systems and innovations driving digital banking and e-commerce

  • Experience in using agile methods (i.e. Design Thinking, Lean-Start-up, Scrum)

  • High intellectual capability evidenced by strong analytical skills

  • Educated to degree level or higher

  • Experience in conceptualizing new products and business models in a digital and technology-driven environments

  • Excellent client relationship management skills (including senior executive level)

  • Strong sales orientation, experience with pre-sales and selling major projects/ideas to senior management

  • Excellent spoken and written command of both German and English

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Excellent ability to comprehend and convey complex business information

  • High levels of integrity and business ethics

  • Willingness to travel and work onsite with clients as needed

  • Willingness to maintain own continuing professional development
