Job Description

What’s it all about?

Responsible for actively managing the relationship with one of our Global Signature Clients, to promote and secure use of Visa products and services across their Consumer and Commercial Banking businesses. Building deep partnerships with your client to identify opportunities to collaborate and provide innovative solutions which will improve the payments experience for their customers and deliver growth.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Manage the relationship with a UK&I signature account, ensuring your stakeholders are provided appropriate support from Visa.

  • Take a leadership role setting the strategy, business and delivery plans for the account.

  • Be accountable for prioritising conflicting and competing demand across the business to ensure Visa resources are deployed to maximum effect.

  • Work with your clients to identify new and ongoing requirements, introducing existing products and services and identifying new innovative solutions to support growth of their business.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the payments market and issuer business which will enable you to identify new opportunities for Visa and the partner.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Visa products and services, with expert knowledge in certain areas. Expected to understand the impact of their specialty area on assigned member’s business.

  • Engage with colleagues across Visa, ensuring teams such as client support, product, marketing, consulting, finance, risk, compliance are appropriately involved and informed about relevant issues and effectively engaged in Visa solutions for our partner.

  • Provide guidance and support with major contract negotiations, product agreements, delivery programs, planning sessions, prioritisation and project tracking.

  • Contribute to the management of the client facing team, providing direction, guidance and development to others, collaborating cross-functionally to bring the best of Visa to the internal team and partner.

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Sales and Relationship management experience including proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills

  • Knowledge and experience of the payments business and/or Personal and Transaction Banking financial services

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across peers, functions, geographies and influence key stakeholders up to Executive level internally and externally

  • Strong commercial understanding of the payments market with the ability to deliver growth by identify and implementing new solutions for your client

  • Ability to develop and deliver a client strategy to deepen the relationship with the client and drive growth

  • Analytical ability to develop compelling fact-based performance and opportunity assessments, Visa and partner business cases, for specific initiatives or general quarterly and annual planning engagements.
