Job Description

**Additional location options for the role include: Singapore, Dubai and London**

This role will act primarily as a global payroll leader for three main regions. Directing the oversight of payroll processing in Europe, Asia Pacific, and CEMEA (Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa), including centralization and standardization of processes and procedures.

  • Manage activities related to global mobility, equity and payroll accounting

  • Accountability for audit support, compliance support, service delivery excellence, governance with key business partners, ensuring successful implementation of all regional acquisitions, driving process improvement and automation.

  • Support the design, implementation and operational delivery of a standardized payroll tools for enabling continuous improvement of the employee/customer experience.

  • Analyze complex payroll problems and make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Manage regional vendor relationships to deliver timely, accurate and compliant processing

  • Interpret company policies affecting payroll procedures and recommend enhancements as needed.

  • Assist with the design and implement of proper segregation of duties, controls, and internal self-audits. Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with Internal Audit team to provide compliance reporting and process controls while ensuring no high-risk audit comments

  • Collaborate with Benefits, Compensation, and HR communities in the support of HR Business initiatives

  • Create routines and collaborative partnerships to document and share best practices broadly. Understand business partners' needs and effectively propose recommendations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Human Resources

  • Minimum 5-8+ years relevant experience managing payroll projects and operations preferably in a mid to large (10,000+ FTE) technology or finance company with multi-country/jurisdictional payroll

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Designation is desired

  • Knowledge of employment regulations in the respective jurisdictions/countries  

  • Experience in designing, implementing and reviewing internal controls aimed at reducing operational risk

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and vendors

  • Strong client service focus; able to develop strong working relationships with team, internal partners and vendors to deliver high quality service

  • Experience with Payroll/Time Reporting/HR/Absence Management (preferably ADP and/or Workday systems)

  • Expert knowledge on MS Office; Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
