Job Description

What’s it all about?

The Partner Solutions function within the MS&A function enables new capabilities for Visa’s ecosystem by working with third party technologies to deliver new value added services, and payment solutions that incorporate Visa ‘s own capabilities with that of partners. These new solutions also need new channels and new integration partners, and we are looking for a dynamic business development person who can help us develop commercial propositions for distribution of these solutions, identify the right partners for Visa to work with, and sign them up into multi-year commercial relationships. 

These new partnerships will help Visa connect to new distribution points for a growing number of services, enabling our acquirers and merchants to consumer new services from Visa, grow Visa card acceptance in the market, and drive new source of revenues.

So what do we expect of you, day to day?

  • Work with Solutions owners to develop the appropriate commercial and partnership framework for each solution targeted for distribution through third-parties

  • Work with internal stakeholders including pricing and legal to formalize these frameworks into a contract template or core principles

  • Identify, prioritize and prospect potential partners, customizing the right value proposition in a consultative way, and drive pipeline from prospecting to contract

  • Lead negotiations for prioritized deals to deliver mutually beneficial agreements

  • Lead the execution of and delivery of  partnership agreements including the program design, solutions launch, and support activities such as contract management

  • Support the onboarding of partners to Visa, working with various internal stakeholders as appropriate, across risk, cybersecurity, legal, etc.

  • Manage existing partners including commitment tracking, financial and key metric reporting, management of sales collateral, and utilization of the CRM tool where appropriate

  • Collaborate with key internal Visa partners - including Finance, Legal, Product, Marketing, Consulting, Financial Institution Sales and Merchant Sales.

The right candidate will bring sbusiness development experience in payments or financial services working with technology partners, be self-directed in developing propositions, prioritising targets and working through a pipeline, be comfortable in pitching relatively early-stage solutions, and working in a high-ambiguity environment. He or she will thrive in an environment with rapid pivots and adapt to changing internal and client needs, and have an ownership mentality, extending their responsibilities to doing whatever is needed to successfully drive outcomes.

What we're after?

  • Proven track record of business development in technology, financial services or payments across Europe

  • Proven ability negotiating business agreements and ability to develop new business partnerships with technology partners/platforms

  • Ability to get up to speed with new value propositions/technologies or domains very quickly

  • Ability to think on feet, be resourceful and scrappy

  • Proven track record of successful sales and relationship management with proven ability to interact at the ‘C’ level executives within client organizations

  • Proven ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships across multiple markets

  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success/achievement

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Fluency in multiple languages desirable

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
