Job Description

As a Visa Intern you will have the chance to:

  • Participate in Executive Speaker Series’ led by Senior Leadership
  • Deliver an end of summer presentation to the Executive Team
  • Attend fun social events with fellow interns
     

Essential Functions:

  • Manage projects in Workforce Planning and Analytics space
  • Must be hands on with data and delivery of sustainable solution
  • Ability to build large, sophisticated models that enable scenario planning
  • Interacts and partner with HR, finance and business leaders on reporting solutions that gain insight into issues or trends
  • Ability to influence senior leaders within the organization
  • Ability to perform data analysis on large sets of information accurately, to identify the right business insights and articulate them drive change; Be an evangelist of driving change through data
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written format
  • Develop solutions that are visual, interactive, sustainable and drive business insights
  • Respond and deliver on ad hoc report requests within SLA all while managing customer expectations
  • Protect HR data according to Visa's data classification and policies
  • Perform audits to determine data analomies, gaps or completeness
  • Participate in testing activities of transaction systems, reporting and integrations
  • Understand business issues and leverage data to deliver insights that help address the issues
  • Support other members of the team on key initiatives
  • Develop strong relationships with HR Business Partners

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. in a business related field
  • Pursuing an MBA from leading business school 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Tableau/Power BI, to design interactive dashboards to drive data driven strategy and decision making in the organization;
  • Experience with R, to work on statistical data analysis and build models to extrapolate business and drive decisions using analytics
  • 2+ yrs of experience with progressively increasing responsibility
  • Highly articulate and influential written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to apply relevant financial theory and analysis for valuing alternatives 
  • Strong business acumen for linking operational and results 
  • Collaboration and leadership skills for the development, coordination, implementation and satisfactory completion of a deliverable 
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint 
  • Comfortable with rapidly changing environment and reprioritization of tasks

Physical Requirements

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
