Job Description

What's it all about?

The role holder will develop compelling and differentiated consumer product propositions for clients, and provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership on core products to help account executives win new business.  Consumer core product coverage responsibilities include debit, credit, loyalty and benefits.  Candidates must have extensive experience developing and launching debit and credit products using customer segmentation, data-driven approach to understanding consumer needs, creating compelling propositions to end consumers, and integrating product marketing messages into overall customer marketing and communication strategies.

Successful candidates must have experience integrating digital payment capabilities and features into mobile banking applications, and be fluent in mobile, fintech payment trends and use cases.  The role will require strong consultative client engagement, active listening and relationship building skills to understand client strategy, priorities and needs.  The role also requires strong internal cross-functional collaboration and teamwork, partnering closely with Visa Consulting & Analytics, Marketing, and other functions to deliver a holistic client engagement experience. 

The role holder must possess a unique combination of product management, commercial acumen, strategic thinking, execution discipline and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.  The role will require occasional travel to client locations across the Nordics and Baltics, and Visa’s Europe headquarters in London. 

Qualifications

What we're after?

  • High level of experience in product management at a leading Nordic consumer bank, global payment network or related payment company

  •  Experience with new product development and ability to translate client needs into product requirements 

  • Strong understanding of consumer debit, credit and loyalty products

  • Strong broad payments industry knowledge or experience

  • Conduct consumer research and develop recommendations

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities; strong bias towards data-based decision making and comfort with financial analysis

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively work cross-organisationally 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or hold equivalent professional experience

 

Essential criteria:

  • Consumer product management experience at large Nordic bank, Fintech or global payment company

  • Proven experience in the delivery and launch of new services and products across numerous markets

  • Driven, resilient and positive under pressure

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal

  • Quick learner, flexible, comfort with ambiguity

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Preference for at least one Nordic language (Norwegian, Danish or Swedish)
