Job Description
The Senior Director, Pricing Strategy & Commercialization will lead efforts related to Visa Inc.’s pricing and commercialization initiatives globally. You will advise global and regional leadership on strategic matters and collaborate with business lines across functional areas to drive project outcomes. The position requires strong thought leadership, analytical skills and the ability to solve a range of business problems, and quickly arrive at recommendations that drive corporate priorities. The position will report to the Senior Vice President, Pricing Strategy & Commercialization and will be based at Visa's offices in Foster City, California with frequent days in San Francisco.
Essential Functions:
- Lead efforts and advise global leadership on commercialization initiatives focused across on a range of areas including pricing for new products, services and payment flows. Provide leadership for pricing related initiatives specific to new products and services and new areas of business.
- Drive the articulation and execution of Visa’s global pricing strategy in partnership with global and regional leadership
- Lead and work with cross-functional project teams to solve corporate business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a range of commercialization issues.
- Partner with innovation, product, sales, finance and risk teams to drive cross functional pricing projects that support sustainable revenue growth outcomes
- Cultivate and manage a pipeline of pricing strategy projects
- Transfer best practices from global pricing to Merchant sales, Product, Innovation, Issuer sales, and finance as part of ongoing commercialization efforts
Qualifications
Basic:
12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred:
- 15-18 years of experience with a Bachelors Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, or PhD)
- Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
- Knowledge and understanding of payments industry including products & services, business systems and processes, issuing and acquiring
- Curious, up-to-date with digital trends and applications
- Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze sophisticated modeling
- Executive presence and ability to clearly communicate recommendations to executive leadership and external partners.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a "peer" with functional/regional leaders
