Job Description
The role of Product Analyst in the Security group is to help manage existing products, develop enhancements to these products, and develop new offerings in the risk and identity space. You will be part of the global team which is developing and deploying risk and identity solution, which is designed to help mitigate fraud and increase approval rates. The Product Analyst will assess global market trends, evaluate potential product opportunities, and recommend market entry strategies. He/she will contribute to the product vision and delivery, including managing functional requirements, feature prioritization, product operations, and on-going product management. He/she will also partner with internal groups to evaluate and articulate the value/business proposition of new products and will also train and be highly consultative to Visa’s client facing teams and regional product leads on the best way for clients to take advantage of Visa solution and new products.
Essential Functions:
Actively participate as member of product management team in Global Technology software development agile project teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle to ensure products are delivered on time, on quality, on specification and on budget
Participate in technical onboarding activities for clients integrating with API-based products and services
Create user stories for business and functional requirements, with sufficient clarity for technology team to build to
Understand and incorporate specific regional market needs into overall global platform feature stories
Support design, development and market roll out activities for new features and capabilities
Contribute to the product development process from ideation through market adoption
Help develop business cases for new fraud risk product development via sound market, statistical, and data analyses
Assist with the development and execution of short-term, intermediate, and long-term strategic business development plans for Visa’s fraud risk products. Focus on Solutions – Connects people and information across the organization to leverage the best of Visa’s technologies and expertise
Communication - Strong communication, presentation, and relationship building skills
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or commensurate work experience
2+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated success
Proven experience and understanding of product development methodologies
Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to identify and understand business tradeoffs
Strong verbal and communication skills to effectively partner with stakeholders across functional teams/geographies
Analytical, organized, accurate, and detail-oriented with fact-based consultative discipline
Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and results driven, with proven success over a variety of technical or functional business problems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Passionate about payments technology and its future, deep curiosity about emerging technologies and trends in the payments industry
Experience with agile development methodologies
Strong sense of urgency and experience driving to successful commercialization
Knowledge of Visa products and technology is a plus, but not required
Knowledge of financial fraud risk management tools preferred

Work Hours
Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.
Travel Requirements
This position requires the incumbent to travel for work less than 5% of the time. Occasional commute to other Visa offices in the bay area will be required.
Mental/Physical Requirements
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds
