What’s it all about?

Within the Ecosystem Risk department responsible for managing Visa’s Payment Card Industry Related compliance and risk operation programs for the Europe region.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Contribute to defining and delivering the Visa Europe Region’s payment system risk strategy as part of the ecosystem risk team.

  • Implement and manage Visa’s data security compliance programs in Europe e.g. Card vendor program, PIN and Verified by Visa (VbV), based on business needs and knowledge of external market practice and industry standards.

  • Implement and manage Visa’s Third Party Agent and VisaNet Processor programs in Europe.

  • Act as subject matter expert for topics relating to payment ecosystem agents and intermediaries, having a detailed knowledge of the operation of all agents and intermediaries and the risk such entities bring to the payment ecosystem.

  • Lead the development of Visa’s compliance capability within Europe through effective management of Visa’s risk operation systems (Global Fraud Information Service – GFIS, Fraud Reporting System – FIS).

  • Oversee Client and Stakeholder Support mechanisms and management of the compliance program mailboxes.

  • Provide bespoke data security and risk operations training to client and internal stakeholders.

  • Oversee the implementation of policy and practice for data security compliance programs, ensuring compliance with local legislation.

  • Maintain awareness of innovative thinking, industry practice and governance around data security risk operation programs as relevant to Visa.

  • Deliver the budget proposal for the function and manage the reporting against this budget.

  • Provide thought leadership on the requirements of data security and risk operation programs.

  • Team leadership for data security function and responsible for ad-hoc activities to support risk or regulatory objectives.

Qualifications

What we're after...

  • Significant information security experience in a relevant industry including sound knowledge and experience of information security related technologies and practices.

  • Several years’ practical senior level experience within the risk or compliance operation of a multi-channel payment service provider. 

  • Extensive knowledge of the Payment Card ecosystem, acquiring, issuing, processors, agents and intermediaries.

  • People management experience.

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

  • Strong communications, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Ability to liaise with and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of seniority, both internally and externally.

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, or have equivalent work experience.

  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CPP qualifications desirable.
