Job Description

The U.S. Insurance Card Benefits Product Manager is responsible for supporting the U.S. product and sales organizations extend Visa’s benefit strategies in the U.S. The position will focus on four key areas:  Solutioning, Programs, Partnerships, and Planning.  The role will engage across all of the product platform teams, key vendors, as well as with other key functions across the organization:  Business Development, Finance, Client Management, etc. Thus, the role requires a high degree of cross-functional collaboration and engagement. The U.S. Insurance Card Benefits Product Manager will report to the U.S. Head of Insurance Card Benefits, based in Chicago, with exposure to key leaders across the Visa organization, and will be based in Visa’s Foster City office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process design and documentation; development of marketing collateral, presentations, and other communications showcasing the value prop of various capabilities, program mechanics and user experience
  • Interact with the client-facing teams and serve as the central point of contact for insurance benefits relative to deal readiness to help win RFPs
  • Create and produce key program performance dashboards to facilitate information flow and share business insights with various stakeholders
  • Work with key internal partners, such as Vendor Risk Management, Vendor Sourcing, Ops Rules Team, Visa Legal, and others who access Visa Card Benefits content
  • Manage day-to-day project spend management and liaise with Finance and Controllership.  Includes raising POs and accepting invoices, and spend tracking and forecasting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or
  • 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or
  • 3 years of experience with a PhD.
  • Work experience in financial services, product management, credit card, operations, marketing, risk, insurance benefits, or card benefits 
  • Excellent analytical skills, strategic and storytelling experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Dynamics and self-motivated, able to drive ideas to deliver results 

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.

This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time
