Job Description

What we expect day to day.

  • Lead the development of Visa’s cross-border business and other strategic initiatives in the Nordics & Baltics Region to grow international payments and the business of our bank, merchant and acquiring clients

  • Responsible to build a deal pipeline with cross-border payments and other opportunities for business growth

  • Be accountable for reachintargets by identifying new opportunities and risks, developing and executing plans to pursue these opportunities and pre-empt risks.

  • Adapt the Global and European cross-border payments strategy and implement in the Region (including in Travel, eCommerce, and Business to Business payments).

  • Act as a representative of the Region with Visa’s European and Global Cross-Border teams.

  • Partnering with Account Executives, work with banks, merchants and acquirers to understand their needs, and implement the right activities and solutions that will grow cross-border card expenditure for both retail and commercial cards.

  • Support Account Executives in cultivating and managing the subsequent pipeline of activity and revenue opportunities.

  • Provide knowledge sharing, coaching and training for the Sales team in the Region.

  • Deeply understand the travel, eCommerce and FinTech trends to be confident in addressing banks and cardholders’ needs. Identify new capabilities to future-proof the business. Customise and feed new cross-border capabilities, collateral and programs driven out of the European Hub into the Region.

  • Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., Sales, Merchants and Acquirers, FinTech, Product, Marketing) to execute projects and leverage Visa resources.

  • Work with external and internal partners to develop localised and custom value propositions based on Visa’s existing suite of products, APIs and data analytics.

  • Understand deal commercials to align investment and target the right opportunities

Qualifications

What we're after.

  • Proven depth of experience in driving client growth and winning new business in B2B or financial services environment.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the payments industry landscape, trends and opportunities.

  • Knowledge of consumer, eCommerce, digital and travel market trends in the Region and globally.

  • Highly developed relationship management skills with a strong sales orientation. Experience successfully selling projects and ideas to senior management based on insight and needs.

  • Strong executive presence and ability to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Advanced project management skills: ability to influence people, plan, prioritize, track execution across cross-functional and with external partners.

  • Highly skilled communicator, both written and verbal.

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential.

  • Degree level education is desirable.

  • Willingness to travel within the Region 30%+.
