What’s it all about?

The Franchise Risk Management team is responsible for managing several compliance programs that protect the integrity of the Visa payment system. 

The Franchise Risk Manager will be responsible for managing the Global Brand Protection Program (GBPP), reporting to the Brand Protection Senior Manager.  The GBPP encompasses confirmed compliance cases and suspected brand protection violations relating to illegal pharmaceutical and tobacco sales, gambling, Intellectual Property infringements and any other activity deemed illegal or brand damaging.


What we expect of you, day to day.

  • End-to-end management of GBPP violations, including:

    • Sending non-compliance notifications to identified clients

    • Reviewing and processing client responses and remediation plans

    • Proposing and preparing program fee decisions including justifications for endorsement by senior management

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate the impact of GBPP violations on the Visa payment system

  • Administrate the program case management tool on Visa Online for Europe

  • Lead monthly compliance calls and meetings with key clients

  • Provide best practice support to increase key stakeholders awareness (internal and external) of franchise risk threats and solutions.

  • Present on franchise risk threats and prevention strategies  to client and market forums

  • Take ownership of issues and develop / propose solutions to problems arising from franchise risks in Europe

  • Engage with Visa Global Franchise Risk team to ensure the evolution of the team’s framework continues to meet European requirements

  • Analyse and detect trends in illegal activity and propose changes to the GBPP program

  • Monitor and evaluate program operations, processes and practices for quality and effectiveness. Give recommendations for improvements.

  • Manage the GBPP mailbox

  • Contribute to the development of best practices guides

  • Produce monthly management reports on program status



What we’re after…

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to deliver training / education to staff and clients

  • Excellent data analysis skills with Microsoft Excel

  • Good PowerPoint skills

  • High attention to detail
